Hey, I need some advice! I'm getting a new cell next week and I don't know what kind to get. I really wanted a Razor, but I've heard that they aren't really that great of a phone. I really like the newest that Motorola has come out with too....I can't think of the name of it now. And I'm in love with the new phone Chocolate, but its only available through verizon wireless and I'm with cingular, and don't want to switch.

Basicly, I want a flip phone with camera, video, and one that holds at least a few MP3's. If any body has any suggestions I would appriciate it!!

I'd switch services.. IMHO.. I use to work there and just don't like them at all...... Not even a little bit..

I do like Verizon Wirless alot.. My little sister just got the Pink Razor and loves it alot, it has the MP3, and Video and Camera on it,, and it works really good.. She gets good signal with it too!!!!

Good luck...

Thats good to hear! It seems like everytime I mention getting a razor, someone tells me that they are terrible! I like the way they look though, and they are definately on the top of my list. As far as cingular goes, I've been with them for four years and never had any problems with them. I've always been satisfied so I don't think I'm going to switch right now. Thanks so much for the advice!

You will have to look around in the store and see what they have. I like the razr but i think they would be easily destroyed by me. A freind has one and has put that poor thing through heck. Its all smashed and cracked but it still works!!

I'm on Cingular and have a Razr, and I generally hate flip phones! This has been absolutely fine though. I put my phones through heaps, and it still works well, and haven't had any problems with it.

i LOVE mine! i have a cingular Nokia 6102 flip camera phone. the images are surprisingly good - & it also takes very short videos. i like that i can carry it in my pocket & it doesn't weigh much - & i love having my furbabies as my wallpaper. here's an example of a pic i took of Chip with the phone.

I got the new motorola pink razor as a birthday present back in July. While I love the color and style of the phone, I personally HATE it when it comes to service as well as several other things. For instance, I had just a basic free blue nokia before this one- it had more ringtones, the games were free, the service always seemed better, and it didn't cut out on my calls as much. The razor is aweful about that....and you have to pay a whole lot more for less stuff! it's a rip off and cingluair didn't let me carry over my previous plan onto this one so I wound up paying extra to switch plans as well. Also, it's not as "durable" as the old blue nokias, so you definitely need to buy a case for it in case you have a tendency to drop things like i do lol
. Also, the lame thing about the covors for the razor phones is they cover up the shell of the phone...so you can't even tell that you have a pink razor for instance....so get a cheaper one in a black color or normal color and just add a colorful cover to it. I do like the fact that you can set multiple alarms off on you phone on this one and that you can take pictuers- the picutre quality is nice. I don't like that it doesn't have a "to do list" on this phone like my old nokia did- i used that function a lot when I had my old phone- so i miss not having it. Also, the batter signal does weird things -even when it's pluged into the charger, sometimes it won't charge right! Weird! It's a cute phone and I like it, but there are definitely more things that i dislike about it than I like, so I really wouldn't recommend it, but to each their own, you may love it. Also, I do like the fact that it is a flip phone verses my old nokia- i like flip phones. Also, all of those "cool new things" that come on the phone, you have to pay additional charges and fees for for the most part...so in that sense it is definitely a rip off.....when they advertised it on tv, it didn't say that those things were not included....so when I got it i was surprised to find out that I had to pay extra for an already expensive phone just to have those services...(I didn't! I just want a cell phone lol...if I need to check email, I can do that on my lap top
) Good luck whatever you decide though!

Thanks for all the help guys. I still have a while to make my decision...I like the Rokr, but I really did have my heart set on a flip phone. I've always just liked them better, but that one is a consideration now.

My boyfriend works for a cell phone company and he says not to get the razr because it sucks and its a waste of money. I'm not sure what it costs there but here its $400.

Whatever you do, DON'T get the V551. I have had 3 of them through Cingular and they have all broken just outside their 1 year waranty period. Cingular's insurance will only replace the phone I had insured, (the v551) I told them to stuff it! I was not going to pay another 50 bucks for a phone that would only work for a year.

I went out and bought a used razr v3 on craigs list. Poped in my sim card and I LOVE it. It needs a new batery, but seeing how I payed 30 bucks for the razr, home charger, car charger and ear piece, I can't complain about needing a new battery.

I like my razr. Try to find one used. Try it out. ANY phone that was a recent cingular phone should work with your sim card. You could find one cheap on craigs list or ebay. Steer clear of the unlocked phones, you don't need it, and they usually cost more than the Cingular specific phones.

If you have any questions, I would be happy to help!

I have a Samsung a660. It doesn't have any of the fancy stuff, but it's a really durable phone. My friend, my dad and I all have the same phone and we've dropped it thousands of times and it still works great!
