So I've got this old '91 Honda Prelude. It's a nice car, kinda sporty. It's been looking pretty gank under the hood, so I decided, hmm, why not spiff it up a bit and make it look clean? Oops... I sprayed the whole engine down with a citrus cleaner and rinsed it off using one of those pump sprayers (those things you use to spray lawn chemicals and pesticides with). I guess I got some water in where I wasn't supposed to and now the car is not itself anymore
. It still runs, but really really rough. I think I may have caused some major damage... This right after spending ~$700 to fix some oil leaks. I'm not a happy camper today...

I know the feeling!! Thursday on the way home from work I was going home to leave for vacation and my car overheated (1992 Prelude that I LOVE). So I call Lee to tell him and he fusses cause I turned the motor off. There was no coolant left in it it had sprayed everywhere. Get the darn thing home and its because it was about a quart low on oil.
So NOw that it has melted a bunch of stuff in the motor I have to have it rebuilt.
I HATE CAR TROUBLE!!

Haha, this is hillarious. So I'm tossing and turning in bed thinking my car's toast, and this morning I carefully drive over to the dealer where a few of my friends work, and they're all giving me this smile. Turns out they get this problem pretty often and it's just water in the sparkplug (not the engine). So they pulled out all the spark plug wires, blew in some air, and one of them was like FULL of water because the rubber boot/cover thing was torn. But right after that the car ran fine!

So relieved...

I do love my car, I think it's in awesome condition for it's age. The interior is like mint. Apparently at one point it was exported to Germany and then imported back into the US!

I've got 02 Jeep Liberty, and it needs an oil change.. I've gotta get that done soon, before the DH kicks my butt..

Ah don't worry, he's just looking out for you, it's pretty dangerous in there if you don't know what's what (hot surfaces, spinning things, belts, fan blades, chemicals that can kill your dog). I think a lot of guys who know cars inside out still hurt themselves (I've yet to meet a woman who works in cars), oil + stubborn bolt + cramped space = bloody knuckles and lots of cussing
