Sneaky, sneaky! (Ginger Updates)

Ginger is a little sneak! She's managed to escape her room twice now, in less than 24 hours.

The first time was last night at 5:00 in the morning. Trent was keeping watch on her room, so he was quick to notify the sleeping mommy and daddy by growling.

The second time, I was taking a nap (she hollered for 3 hours before she escaped, and then some more after I closed the full door on her last night), and Earl was playing World of Warcraft. I have no idea how long she was out, because Earl didn't notice she was gone. All I know is that about 5 minutes after I came into the computer room, we heard Ginger yell, Trent went shooting downstairs, and Ginger was in the bedroom. All are OK, so we think they just scared each other.

Trent is a little wary of Ginger because she runs up to him. When she doesn't approach so fast he seems OK. They actually touched noses through the screen door this morning. Ophelia, my tough little feral, seems scared of Ginger and won't even approach her room if Ginger is awake. Ginger has settled in so well that she is obviously doing everything possible to go play with her new brother.

So you have an escape artist on your hands. She just wants to play with her new brother and sister. The nose touching with Trent is a good sign. I guess Ophelia will take a while- competition between girls.

Sounds as though you've got fun times on your hands

I love how kittens have no fear - they just want to explore and play

You have to admire her confidence and unwavering faith that she can win over Trent and Ophelia, and figures now is as good a time as any to start

She's such a determined little kitty!

It sounds like she is determined to make friends, and real soon! I hope it all goes well.

Well Heidi, I have recently found that 2 cats get into twice the trouble, so what does that make 3 cats? Thrice the trouble??? Imagine what they can get into when there's 3 of them........

She's already done that for me and Earl. Trent is so curious about her, but she's SO exhuberant that she scares him. We're going to try some supervised interaction time tonight and see how it goes. She is very determined to get what she wants, when she wants it - like Eileen said.

Very much like Carly. I'm amazed at how often Carly goes up to the others and just wants to be friends. Much ignores her and Lucy takes a swat.

Congrats on such a sweetheart.

Ginger is definitely showing her strong leadership qualities. Will she be running against Morris in the "Finicky" platform???
