Thank you for the tip - our local shelter isn't on it, so I'd better call! I did notice that 9-Lives is having a "million cat" placement drive of some sort (there were coupons in the cat food aisle at K-Mart). I think that it takes this kind of rallying of the communities to rouse people to stop, consider & do the right thing!!

I'm going to send invites to all the rescues and shelters in Virginia listed on Petfinder that are not participating.

I tried to send an invite to my local shelter because they weren't on the list, but the website said their email address wasn't valid.

If you leave spaces either in front or after the email address..the screen will sometimes say the email is invalid. Remove the spaces and give it a moment to take the invalid message away.

I didn't think I did that yesterday, but who knows. Anyway it worked today!

6 more shelters from Virginia joined because I sent all the shelters listed on PF invites.

You know...not one single rescue/shelter is participating from the UK.

I just sent out invites again to the shelters/rescues in Virginia and so far...an additional 4 shelters/rescues have signed up.

There is still time to invite your local shelters/rescues to participate.
