My kitten is 4 weeks old and has a soft sac similar to a lump on its abdomen which hangs between its back legs. i have been told it could just be excess fat which will go away as the kitten seems to be perfectly normal otherwise. its a soft sac like thing i wouldnt describe it as a lump exactly it moves as the kitten runs and walks. It doesnt seem to bother the kitten but it makes her waddle a tiny bit. PLEASE can someone tell me what it is!
Thanks

I have the same thing with my current litters. I was rather worried about it, but since they are all clearly active and appear healthy, I was going to wait until the 6 week old check up.

Today a vet tech met them (and chose 2 to adopt
) and said that it is simply a fat pouch. My 9 kittens have 2 Mom's nursing them, and I'm sure it is just all that good food.

Here is a pic of "T", my tortie girl who had the worst pudge!

Here is one of the younger tabbies showing off the pudge!

I will add the disclaimer...if you think something is odd or unusual about a cat, or especially a kitten...the prudent thing to do is call or visit your vet!

My five kttens have the same thing at 4 weeks and they just started to eat dry food I don't think there is anything wrong since they all five have it.
