Is there a difference between the two brands, Soft Paws and Soft Claws? Their websites look almost identical, but the brand names on the boxes shown are different

Byron has the "kitten" size Soft Claws (the only ones I could find in local pet store) on at the moment --- there were some claws where he was calm and indifferent, and others in which he struggled and meow'ed while I was trying to get them on --- those ones seemed like a "tight fit" to try to slip on.

According to the instructions, they should slip on like a glove right ? He is a 4 lb kitten (3.5 months old), he seems a bit big for his age size-wise (see the photo below for comparison to a Gamecube controller
), should I be trying the "small" size instead? I don't want the Soft Claws to pinch him if that's what he is protesting. Then it seems that some of his claws (like his dewclaws) are even a bit too small for the kitten size --- do you mix and match sizes for your kitten if they seem like a 'tweener between sizes?

I use the kitten size for Lilly--she is 14 weeks old and weighs about 4 pounds.Corwin gets the small size--he is about 18 weeks old and weighs about 5 pounds.
From my understanding they are suppose to fit tight like a glove. But, not so tight you can't get them on.
Are you trying them on his claws before you glue them to make sure they are the the right fit?I didn't know you were suppose to do that.LOL!!!
Anyways, some of theirs fits better than the others. Some nails are longer and some are wider so it seems.
As for protesting, he was doing that because they are new to him and he didn't know what to think of them.I'm sure by now, he's acting just fine.
I think some members clipped the soft claws down a bit if they were still to big.

Soft paws I believe is for Dogs and Soft Claws are for kitties but made by the same company.

I'm going to attempt using soft claws for the first time... just ordered on UK website!

Should be fun!

If your kitten is 4 lbs, go for the Small Size instead. I had to get small for my girls,, and they are 4lbs.. The kitten size were too small... My girls have pink and purple.. Angel has pink and Chestnut has purple.. They fit like a glove, and if they don't fit just right,, you can trim them from the back to fit.. They work perfectly!! Thanks for doing the Soft Claws....

BTW: There is no difference.. Some offer more colors on certain sizes then the others.. There just differ name brands...

Corwin weighed 5 pounds on Wed. and he is in the small, they also fit perfectly.

We bought a Blue Small set of Soft Claws and they fit perfectly on his "larger" claws --- Byron didn't struggle at all when I was putting them on, but it may have just been because he was expecting (and getting) some treats while being manicured

He is still wearing some of the clear Kitten-sized claws on his declaws but it seems that they are too small for everything else -- no wonder he was struggling and protesting when I was trying to slip the Kitten claws on -- they were too small and probably pinched him

Anyone have the Orange or Yellow/Green combo color on their kitty, and can show pics?

in a pile of open toed shoes!
he was probably just protesting cause he's a kitten & that's what they do!
LuckyGirl will sit perfectly still but curse me out in kitty, while Louie is a wiggle worm, and will keep moving until I let him go....and he's not being hurt, just confined!
