I got this in an e-mail this morning and thought it was worth sharing.

Do you know how many women with PMS it takes to screw
in a light bulb?

A: One. ONE!! And do you know WHY it only takes ONE?
Because no one else in this house knows HOW to change
a light bulb. They don't even know the bulb is BURNED
OUT. They would sit in this house in the dark for
THREE DAYS before they figured it OUT. And once they
figured it out they wouldn't be able to find the light
bulbs despite the fact that they've been in the SAME
CUPBOARD for the past SEVENTEEN YEARS. But if they
did, by some miracle, actually FIND the light bulbs,
TWO DAYS LATER the chair that they dragged from two
rooms over to stand on to change the STUPID light bulb
would STILL BE IN THE SAME SPOT!! AND UNDERNEATH IT
WOULD BE THE CRUMPLED WRAPPER THE STUPID @*!#$% LIGHT
BULBS CAME IN! WHY? BECAUSE NO ONE IN THIS HOUSE
CARES! NO ONE EVER EVEN CARRIES OUT THE GARBAGE!! IT'S
A WONDER WE HAVEN'T ALL SUFFOCATED FROM THE PILES OF
GARBAGE THAT ARE 12 FEET DEEP THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE
HOUSE... AND THE HOUSE!! IT WOULD TAKE AN ARMY TO
CLEAN THIS...

I'm sorry...what did you ask me?

Now Debby, you know that your husband can't possibly pick up the chair that he dragged across your tile making black marks to begin with! He might hurt his back! Besides, how can they put a chair back when they can't even find the clothes hamper on a daily basis?

Actually, in my hubby's defense, he DOES know where the hamper is....that is the thing he thinks he is supposed to throw his clothes on the floor IN FRONT of!!!

Today, a friend of ours came over to borrow our binoculars. Of course, they were in a box in our storage room. Dan went to start looking, and I went to help, knowing how helpless he is.
As soon as I started, he said, "Well, I'm going to go finish my lunch before it gets cold." Can you believe it? I did find the binoculars without too much trouble, but that took a lot of nerve.

Somehow, I always get the searching jobs. Sometimes it's easier to do it myself, than listen to him moan and complain about not being able to find whatever he's looking for. Especially when I can find it in about 2 seconds.

Speaking of the men in the house not being able to ever find anything ...

Not too long ago, my husband went through a phase of not putting the spray can of anti-perspirant back in the cabinet under the sink, where it has always been for the past 12 years that we've lived in this house. Every time I walked into the bathroom, there the offending can sat ... right up on the counter top. Well, it drove me crazy (some say THAT'S not a long distance drive, but that's another story for another time *grin*) so every time, I would put it away, back out of sight in the cabinet.

After 5 or 6 days of hearing, "Honey??? Do you know where the Arrid is?" and me responding with "It's under the sink, just where it SHOULD be!!" I decided that stricter measures would have to be taken.

So ....

The next time he asked me where the Arrid was, I went out to the shed, got some twine and came back into the house. I told him that once he found it, I was going to tie it to his "dangly parts" (use your imagination here) so he would ALWAYS know where it was.

The moral of this story is...he never asks me to help him find anything anymore because he is afraid I will tie whatever it is to his dangly parts. *grin*

Works for me.

Gaye! That's SOOO funny. Your poor hubbs. My old fella would get very miffed if I told him something like that.

He's a sensitive soul you see - by sensitive I mean he can't bear to be told he's done anything wrong.

Heyho. You've got to love them.

So far out in left field I got lost
My hubby asked me last night how to work the dishwasher
Then I had to show him where to put the detergent and how to check to make sure that the water sprayer thing doesn't hit any dishes. I think I would have been better off just doing them myself

Hmmmmm, Now that I think about it I would Not be better off doing them myself, I must be nuts
