gaspard has just spent the night in our bedroom with us,going from me to huby, huby to me for attention, purring,he would normally be out at night, his choice,we have a cat-flap,but the b/room doors been shut and he hasnt once miowed to go out,i think he realises hes better off in than out,i must admit i am pretty tired, didnt get,
much sleep and for me to be up at 6 in the morning isnt heard of
ill hopefully catch a couple of hours later when gaspard sleeps and my children go to see their gran.....

menwhile my other two adult cats are sleeping on the landing they usually have free acses to our room and SLEEP on our bed,but weve had to seperate them as mouse attacked gaspard when we got him home,i guess because hes injured, its never happened before, the 3 adults are from the same litter.

I'm so sorry to hear about Gaspard's injury. Sending many {{{{get well soon}}}} vibes. It sounds as though he's doing well. As you said it's good that you went outside when you did. Hugs to both of you.

I'm so pleased that Gaspard had a good sleep - will do him the world of good!

You need some sleep too now though!

I'm sure things will settle down between your kitties once Gaspard is on the mend! You can always use the Vanilla Extract trick to help them along though!

mouse is sitting outside the bedroom that gaspard is in,i cant let him out, because i cant risk her hurting him,one swipe of a claws out paw on that wound and he could start to bleed again, this is totally out of charater for her, shes been recently spayed, and has 3 ten week old kits, motherhood has sent her loopy, shes been sitting there all night and all day,in a ready to attack pose!!

how dose vanilla extract work please????

Awww, it must be worrying for you!

You dab the vanilla extract on both/all cats, under their chin, between their shoulder blades and at the base of their tail. It helps them to smell the same and familiar - which will *touch wood* mask any scents of Gaspard being off colour!

It's well worth a try!

Oh my gosh! You and your kitty are so lucky that he is alive!

I can't belive this. That is horrible.

My vibes are sent your way!

Good job for being strong through all of this, because I KNOW you had to be!!!

That happened to my parents cat before. They said she was most likely bitten by a raccoon. She was outside and it just started gushing blood. She just stayed inside for a few days and recovered and she is fine now.

I'm so pleased to hear that it worked for you!
I'm also happy to read that Gaspard is more active today, too!

I guess not having to fear being attacked makes him feel more confident too!

Continued healing }}}VIBES{{{ on their way!
