...with my baby girl. She seems sore on her hind end. Her belly, tail, fanny and hind legs are sensitive to touch and she growls when we pick her up and she never used to. Otherwise, she's a little depressed and grumpy due to the arrival of Obi-Wan. Hopefully, she'll cheer up soon.

So help me, if my neighbor kicked her...

Aww, your poor baby

Has she been using the litter as normal?

Sounds like she should be seen by a vet to rule out illness.

Does she go outside? One time, my childhood cat Alex came home and wouldn't let us pet him past the mid-part of his body. If we tried to touch his tail, his legs or his back, he'd attack us. We were afraid he had been hit by a car or something. We brought him to the vet and found he had a tiny puncture wound next to his butt. He had apparently been fighting with another cat (or possibly a raccoon), and got nailed when he ran away. We treated him with antibiotics to prevent it from abscessing.

My fiancee thinks she was clipped by a car.

We'll definitely make a vet appointment.

TCS is an extremely diverse community and while keeping cats as indoor-only pets is highly recommended in the US, there are other parts of the world where it is not considered the norm. Let's try to keep that in mind when posting.

Depending on your location, I'd also ask the vet to do a lymes test, because she could be at high risk being an outdoor cat, especially if she doesn't have any apparent injuries.

Found it.

Now that she's more comfortable, I've been able to play with her a little more and I discovered a wound on her bum the size of a US nickel. I just applied some triple antibiotic ointment to it as per the vet.

Right now, she's licking it off.

Oh, for the record, she's an indoor cat now.
