I think my poor kitty, Scout, is sick. He threw up twice, one right after the other. The first time it was projectile vomiting, and the second time he was dry retching and then threw up and it was yellow. Then he went to the litter box and urinated, and it was kind of cloudy and foamy. He has been more vocal the last few days, but all of this just started today. I gave been giving him some "cat grass" for the last few days. The first time he ate it, he threw up the next morning, but it was really green. I am getting ready to call the vet, but I wanted to post this first. Has anyone else had this problem with their kitties before?

Thanks,

Kelly

Unfortunatly there's no 100% answer for this one. Cats can vomit for several reasons. One being something they ate. From what you said, he may not be feeling very well since he's been vocal and the foamy urine along with the vomiting may indicate something going on with the liver, kidneys or intestinal trac. I would set up an appt with the vet asap.

Yup could be many things like they said.
I don't think I've ever had this exact same problem before. Make the appointment. I think if your cat is still doing it tomorrow you might have a problem on your hands.

I've noticed, at least with my cats, if it was just something they ate, they puke once or twice in one day and then stop, if they go for 2+ days they typically have some kind of real illness going on that requiers vet attention.

Hey everyone! Thanks for the quick replies. Scout is doing much better. About 2 hours after he got sick, he was running around and playing and eating and went he urinated, it looked normal. I think maybe it was the cat grass I gave him, because he won't go near it now!

Thanks,

Kelly
