Please help Floyd: 7 months of bloody poop and vomit, still no ideas!

We have friends with two bengal cats. Both of them needed to be put on raw for digestive issues. No problems since. Good luck!

    Strange kitten

Gizmo does this everytime he finishes his food. It's hilarious watching him try to bury it on the the hardwood floor.

    Cat Food

I agree. Please do some of your own research on wet food...it really is much healthier.

    Cat Food

Why doesn't the vet want them on wet food?

I don't know what's wrong with my kitten, is she dying??

It means not to wait two hours after the first feeding is finished. Good luck!

    Acting strangely.

What you are describing in the bed is normal behavior for my 6 month kitten. He spends at least a half hour each evening pouncing on our toes, the blanket, or chasing his tail. Sounds like normal kitten behavior, but if it's bothering you or really seems off for her, I'd call the vet.

Female cat in heat since Christmas?

Something to keep in mind....you most likely would not be able to adopt her back. At shelters you give up all rights to an animal when you surrender them, and they would be very hesitant to let you adopt her or any other animal given the fact that you couldn't provide vet care. I'm speaking...

    Intermittent "fits"

Sounds like possible hyperesthesia. The urination, running and drooling. I know one characteristic is rhe rolling skin on the back, but our friends cat was diagnosed and sounds like what your cat is doing.

HELP! My kitty is getting more and more aggressive! :(

This is normal kitten behavior....my 5 month old acts just like this a few times a day. If he gets "bitey" I stop playing with him. He's started doing it less and less. Good luck with your beautiful kitten!!

    Feeding wet and dry food

This is exactly what I do with Gizmo, and it works well. He usually only eats 1/8 cup a day of dry.

    Drinking Fountain?

I know how important drinking plenty of water is for cats.  Gizmo eats mostly wet food, and a small amount of Orijen, but I would still like him to drink more water.  Does anyone use drinking fountains?  If so, which ones do you recommend?  Thanks!

    Fancy Feast Question

My 5 1/2 month kitten, Gizmo, is a huge fan of Fancy Feast as it seems many other cats are.  We do try to rotate with other premium brands, but it's always a struggle to get them down. Anyway, I have a question about Fancy Feast:  We are using the "Kitten Turkey" type right now since he is...

Breeder deemed me "unfit" for a kitten :(

I'm so sorry that happened to you!  You must be so disappointed. Our five-month-old kitten isn't allowed in our bedroom, either.  He has the run of the rest of the house, but my husband is a very light sleeper and just can't have him in there.  It doesn't help that the first night we tried he...

    Disagreement with Vet

Thank you so much for this information!! I think we'll stay with this vet...I really like the office, and her individually, so I guess there's no reason to change.  She's happy to let us make our decisions regarding nutrition as long as he's healthy, so we're in good shape. I also want to...

    Disagreement with Vet

We just rescued a five-month-old kitten (Gizmo) almost two weeks ago.  After doing research on the site, and others, I decided that I wanted to put him on a canned food diet with mostly high quality brands.  When he came to us, he was on Pro-plan dry and various canned foods for dinner, so he...

Gizmo and I say "Hi!!" & how many cats??

I've been lurking the last week or so, and wanted to take an opportunity to introduce myself and my cat. Almost two weeks ago, I adopted (my husband, my children, and I) a five-month-old kitten named Gizmo from a local rescue.  He is such a joy!  He's very affectionate and so confident for a...
