    Help!

Yes, he was tested for both and both tests came back negative. He is UTD with all vaccines and sees our vet yearly for a wellness check. He will be three in a few months. He is eating now, both wet and dry food but he threw up the dose of Veraflox that I gave him earlier. But no where the amount...

Yes, did a blood panel, urinalysis and X-rays. The only thing that stood out was slightly elevated white blood cells.

    Help!

Came home on Christmas night to a very lethargic cat, Gunther. Woke the next morning to him being the same and refusing to it and I felt that he had a high fever. Rushed him to the Emergency Vet where they took blood and urine samples. Did imaging as well. Nothing came back as odd except his...

    Wet FIP advice

First off, thank you to everyone on this site. I feel like I can come here and get more first hand info than at my vet's office. Three months ago I adopted a two year old cat from a shelter. Last evening I helped him cross the rainbow bridge due to wet FIP. I am heart broken. He was such a...

    Need some help and advice....

Thank you all that replied. Last evening I helped my little boy cross over the rainbow bridge. His condition worsened and my vet diagnosed him with wet FIP. I am devastated as I only adopted him three months ago and now have to worry about my other two cats. Sigh.

    Need some help and advice....

I adopted a cat three months ago and he has been such a loving cat but two weeks ago he had become very lethargic, eating less, meowing before using the box but still peeing, not jumping, walking slowly and losing weight. My husband took him to the vet last week were they treated him for bladder...

    Should I continue to quarantine?

Thank you Stephanie, he walked out of the room, went downstairs and has been sleeping on the sofa since. My two girls are like "who the hell is that?" But they are pretty mellow cats and he came from a high volume SPCA.

    Should I continue to quarantine?

Thank you catwomen! I felt that being confined for so long was not helping him. He would stand by the door and cry.

Yes, they are both up to date on all vaccinations and shots. Thank you. I may spring him when I go home shortly.

    Should I continue to quarantine?

On Feb. 1st we adopted a new cat into our home. We kept him segregated from our other two cats until we were able to take him to the vet a few days later. After seeing the vet it was determined that he MAY have an URI. Dillinger was giving a shot of antibiotics and has been on oral antibiotics...

Newly adopted cat and litter box

After no pee at 7PM, I drove to Petsmart in a snowstorm to get Catt Attract. When I got home he had used the litter box....Murphy's Law!

Newly adopted cat and litter box

I have both types in the room with Dillinger now. I am heading into work so hopefully the house being quiet will give him enough nerve to come out from under the dresser and use one of them!

Newly adopted cat and litter box

Hi everyone, I have come across a problem with a newly adopted cat that I have never had before, it has been almost two days and he has not used the litter box...at all. Dillinger is segregated in his own space (even though he has been under the dresser for a day) and there are no messes...

    Possible Oral Cancer :-(

Hi, how is Marty doing? I am so sorry to hear that he may have oral cancer. It is such a horrible disease that moves quickly. My beloved cat Chunk, was diagnosed on Dec 13 with SCC and he lost his battle in Feb 1. We opted for the surgery and radiation but the cancer was just too aggressive...

    E-tube feeding....

Thank you Denice. Chunk had a tumor removed from his lower jaw. It has been a rocky month for us. I am almost giving him a full can a day but his drooling is out of control and of course my vet is on vacation until Monday.

    E-tube feeding....

My cat, Chunk, had jaw surgery almost three weeks ago and we have been feeding him through a feeding tube. He seems so lethargic, drooling and showing no interest in food. I was at my vet's office yesterday to pick up more A/D and I questioned how much a day we should be feeding him, I was told...
