    Diet for healthy teeth

I agree completely. I started brushing my kittens teeth once his 'adult' teeth came in. As an aside re: this topic - I do not believe anyone who says that dry treats and/or kibble 'clean' teeth. :)

Boyfriend thinks I feed our cat too much..

i agree with this. My ragdoll kitten is 10 months & 1 week old, weighing in at 11 lbs.  I think that in the first 2 years of growing, the 'explosive' periods of appetite are normal. i also think that wet-food only diets aid in kitty self-regulating and maintaining a healthy growing weight...

Diet Changes for Feline Herpes Virus

even a kitty that likes drinking water would likely still not intake enough via drinking water alone. I know that with my kitty -- i give 250mg of lysine 2x daily. I provide canned, re-hydrated freeze-dried raw, and/or frozen raw. Kitty has a water fountain as well. After the first 4 months or...

Diet Changes for Feline Herpes Virus

I would think she would require more than 250mg daily if she's as affected as it sounds and currently having "flareup". My kitty had sneezed and experienced watery eye until I got him on a 500mg/daily of Lysine. I've read online of others dosing up to 1,000mg during flareup. Other than that...

    New Weruva variety packs

Winston is 9 months old now. I'm poor also but would rather invest in food vs vet visits :) Re: seafood - it can come in handy. Winston is addictive lil bugger so I try to limit his addictions. hehe I fed him Wellness until about 6 months of age but I didn't feel it was the right choice for...

my 8.5 month old ragdoll is on my version of a "rotation" to keep interest/vary it up for both his sake and my pocket. each time i buy a new bag of the dried or frozen i rotate flavors/choices. wet/canned: Fancy Feast (classics) - up to 3oz per day or as a mixer/topper Canidae GF Pure - all...

Ouch!! Switching to all wet food could cost me at least $100/month

I'd prefer to spend my money on quality wet food vs costly vet bills

    Healthy but affordable canned food

Based on recommendations here on the forum (i read a lot of your posts so thank you!): I think Nutro is a good quality food. There are several varieties that do not contain carageenan.
