i agree with this. My ragdoll kitten is 10 months & 1 week old, weighing in at 11 lbs.  I think that in the first 2 years of growing, the 'explosive' periods of appetite are normal. i also think that wet-food only diets aid in kitty self-regulating and maintaining a healthy growing weight...

i've used sardines in olive oil to help relieve kitty constipation. in my instance, the oil was whatever was absorbed into the fish and a small drizzle out of the can.

I would think she would require more than 250mg daily if she's as affected as it sounds and currently having "flareup". My kitty had sneezed and experienced watery eye until I got him on a 500mg/daily of Lysine. I've read online of others dosing up to 1,000mg during flareup. Other than that...

i've since discontinued feeding Nutro to my ragdoll. It seemed to cause him lots of gas and soft stools.

Based on recommendations here on the forum (i read a lot of your posts so thank you!): I think Nutro is a good quality food. There are several varieties that do not contain carageenan.
