as soon as i turned it off, one of the cats drank from it like it was his last meal! boy was he thirsty. i turned it back on , and no one has drank from it since.
then i brought in more change by adding the Petmate Le bistro automatic food dispenser.
i just bought the drinkwell and i have the flow set on low. the cats are just stairing at it, smelling it, one even drank a little but nothing after that. we'll see how long they'll stay away.
ps - my cats are domesticated feral cats (2years old) and have been feed water via bowl since i got them. im afraid that a water fountain might scare them.
has anyone gone away for about 2 weeks and used the fountains/feeders? im so confused as to which one to get. everyone has something to say about each fountain/feeder i decide on.
( btw - i do have someone coming in every other day to check up on my 2 cats and change the litter box.)
I was told that Nutro Max is worse than Nutro natural choice. Authority seems to be much cheaper (though i dont like the corn ingredient).
So many products to choose from.
My kittens became adults this past weekend. Ive been feeding them Nutro natural Choice for kittens but because of the price, im looking to switch to a quality adult cat food thats cheaper?
Does anyone have any idea about Petsmart's Authority cat food?
Any suggestions on what i should do?
WOW Thanks for all the great advice (and support)! that cat bag sounds like a wonderful idea- how my kitten will react to it, im not sure, but im def willing to try anything at this point.
I'd also love to know how to properly scruff my kitten. im sure im doing it correctly but it never hurts to...
The only way for me to get my feral 8 month old cat's nails cut is to scruff him. i hate doing it but ive tried every other way and he just wont let me. i would take him to get groomed but getting him into the carrier is impossible. Am i harming him but scruffing him for a a minute or 2 to cut...
I have 2 strictly indoor cats. this morning when i went to feed them, near their food bowl on the wall was a browish, small, oval, flat and i think it was moving - thing. i know the description is the worst but its the best i can do. i was totally grossed out by it and sprayed it with Clorox...
maybe getting a box and cutting out a little opening, putting some food in the box and then trapping him/her in the box is one way. or using a carrier and putting food in the carrier is a good way of luring the kitten out from under the car. are you planning on keeping the kitten??
i wish elle the best of luck. my kitten was spayed on 3 days ago but she didnt have to stay overnight - i was able to pick her up that same evening AND to my surprise, my vet used surgical glue instead of thread so she cant pick on it and its been healing up nicely so far. Im not sure how...
I was wondering how many of you have issues cutting your feral cat/kittens nails.I have 2 feral kittens - one of them is just the sweetest and sits quietly to get her nails trimmed but her brother is just - he has some serious issues and wont let me touch his paw much less cut his nails. Any...
Thanks for all the tips. i think ill try the pillowcase idea. Ill try anything at this point. knowing my kitten, he'll suspect im trying to trap him and not come anywhere near the pillowcase!!!!
thanks for the advice. i have soft music playing and i try to sit with her as often as possible. but i def wont let them be together in the same room until tomorrow (i was told they can reconnect after a day has passed). the crying is so painful to the ears......
i have two kittens - 6 months old. the female went into heat before her appointment in 2 weeks so i pushed it up and had her spayed. her sibling couldnt fit into today's appointment so he wont be neutered till july 7th. i was told to keep them appart for one night (the day of her surgery). right...
Thanks for the suggestions. My kittens are indoors and ive been socializing them since they were 2 months old. I cant lure him in with food (and that trick stopped working months ago) because he will be going in for surgery.(after he realized the 'trick' he would rather not eat for days before...
