There are a lot of options you can choose from with kitty food! :)
Are you referring to the lawsuit of the false advertising because they were getting food with by-products in them and formulated their foods with it, though they claim they didn't know by-products were in the food?
You can do...
I'm sorry to hear this.
You'll want to get him to a vet as soon as possible. Weight loss and lethargy are signs of things going wrong. If he's been losing his teeth that could be a sign that there may be something wrong.
You can ask the vet about the dog food you are referring to and ask the...
I'm glad he's doing well!
A similar thing happened with Link. He had a ball of yarn and ended up eating a piece. He exhibited signs of hairballs. About a week or so later, I found a piece of string in his room and skid marks on my carpet. So he tried to pass it and just scooted along the floor...
Well, you went from a lower quality food to a higher quality food. Congratulations on the successful transition!
When you switch your animal to a food that has more nutrition and less fillers, they tend to eat less and become more active because they are getting the nutrition they are supposed...
Really? Then you must have not read the ingredients list on the website or on the label.
For CatConcoctions Cod and Cheesy Bacon flavor:
Ingredients
Water sufficient for processing, chicken, liver, meat by-products, wheat gluten, soy flour, cod, corn starch-modified, artificial and natural...
Have you read the ingredients list? If it doesn't contain a source of meat/meat protein in the first 3 to 5 ingredients, contains corn (or any form of corn), contains "by-product meal" and a few other things, it is not good nor healthy.
I do not agree that this is a good food or a sufficient food for any cat or animal. If your cats are picky and they eat it, then awesome. But if your cats will eat other stuff, then by all means give them the other stuff.
Something is wrong. Even though you think he may not have had anything that could harm him, he actually may have gotten into something that would make his tummy upset. Have you viewed this thread at all? Are you living in the US?
This may seem a bit harsh, but if you are able to come on here...
I am. There is a Vitamin Shoppe close to where I work. I will have to check it out. I should have been more clear about the Omega 3 supplements, though. What I meant was all the products in the pet supplies stores are all derived from Salmon. lol. Oops. I will do some research on the Omega-3's...
I use a mixture of Arm and Hammer and Blue Buffalo Natural Walnut (more of the Walnut litter is in his box) though he uses the other two as well, which one has more Arm and Hammer than Blue because it's used less often and Tygra will not use Blue litter so hers has all Arm and Hammer.
I hadn't...
I would stop using the FreshStep. It clumps too hard and isn't a very good litter, in my opinion.
LitterMaid makes their own Natural Cat Litter made from corn. You could use corn litter or maybe even some kind of pine litter.
In all honesty, I think it's just cheaper to have a standard...
Hey guys!
Lincoln (9 months) is getting dry paw pads. He's indoor only. I've never had a cat get dry paws before, so I'm wondering what I can use for them.
I've looked at Espree Paw Balm and Musher's Paw Protection. Espree says it can be used on cat's paws too, however, Mushers only...
Moldy food definitely deters me form choosing Wellness, though they do have a few other lines out now... Air Dried (highly expensive but has more moisture than their leading kibble food and closest to raw as you can get) and TruFood (raw inspired and baked at a less high of a temperature so it...
I work in a local pet supplies store and I have been hearing some really bad things about Blue Buffalo (the food I've chosen to have my cats on). I've heard that people are buying it and finding those pantry moths/webs in their dog food (which is very typical of corn based foods), another person...
I still do not understand why you waited so long to find something to help calm him...
Comfort Zone with Feliway products:
MultiCat to help relieve tension in multi cat homes, though it would probably work to relieve tension with one cat homes; drug free
Stress related behavior helps your...
Your vet prescribed your cat something that will help him calm down and not be so tense (Prozac), therefore he will most likely not have pain and you didn't give it to him? Why not? I'm sorry this seems so blunt, but your cat is 10 years old. You say he's been like this since you've gotten him...
If you scruff your cat while giving medicine, you shouldn't have to worry about them biting you or clawing you. The very first time I had to give any of my cats medicine, I asked the vet what I should do. They said to get the medicine ready, scruff your cat, and administer the medicine. All of...
