My 10mo Norwegian Forest Cat Mix Isn't Eating

Thank you everybody for your help! I think I may have actually found out the problem. I believe she was constipated because there was a rather large poo from her in the litter box, and now she's eating fine!! Thank you again for your help!

My 10mo Norwegian Forest Cat Mix Isn't Eating

@foxxycat   That's exactly what she's doing, smelling the food, licking her lips, and walking away. She doesn't show any signs of upper respiratory, but the vet didn't do any bloodwork. She hasn't been straining or vomiting. And yes, she's already been dewormed twice, and hasn't shown any...

My 10mo Norwegian Forest Cat Mix Isn't Eating

@Denice   She is having heavy shedding. She had a bowl movement this morning, but it wasn't much. But thank you, I'll take her back to the vet, or find a new one, and hopefully they can help out a little more.

    Severe Litter Box Avoidence

The vet diagnosed her with Roundworm, so her litter box avoidance has gotten a lot better! She still slips up from time to time, but that's probably just from avoiding the litter box. So, we're working on that. Thanks to everybody who posted!

My 10mo Norwegian Forest Cat Mix Isn't Eating

Hi everyone! I've recently been having some trouble getting my 10 month old Norwegian Forest Cat mix (Cookie) to eat. When I noticed that she was too thin for her age, I took her to the vet. Unfortunately they said that they couldn't find anything wrong, or abnormal, and to just keep an eye on...

I can't seem to find a good cat litter for a multi-cat home.

I currently have three indoor cats, with enough litter boxes for each of them. But it seems like I've run into the problem of finding the right litter.  I've tried multiple kinds of Blue brand, but every kind doesn't clump enough. The "clumps" of urine break apart into smaller, unscoopable...

My new cat won't come out of hiding.

About a month after losing Chubbs, I contacted some shelters, and adopted a bonded pair. They've acclimated perfectly, and they love their new home

My new cat won't come out of hiding.

I do have an update, but it's not one with a happy ending (for me). I was eventually able to get her out of hiding and into her "safe room" but she had severely regressed back to her original feral nature. In the end, she had to go back to her foster family. But thankfully they are now her...

    Severe Litter Box Avoidence

I haven't gotten her to a vet for her litter box issues, but she has been to the vet for her usual shots and tests.

    Severe Litter Box Avoidence

So I've had my cat Cookie for about five/six months now, and she's about six months old. Since day one, she's had a severe little box avoidance issue. Her favorite spots are the bathtub, underneath my bed, and any article of clothing that had fallen onto the floor. She'll use the litter box...

My new cat won't come out of hiding.

Hey everyone!  I wanted to give everybody an update on Chubbs the cat. It's been nine weeks now, and she's still in hiding. But today, I've been able to get my hands on a Hav A Hart feral cat trap. Inside, I've placed a sweater that has her scent all over it, and a can of her favorite wet cat...

My new cat won't come out of hiding.

It's been about five weeks, and Chubbs is still in the wall. I still refuse to give up on her, but I'm starting to lose hope. I really need help and advice.

My new cat won't come out of hiding.

@MomofMaxwell  Her ear was cropped by the people that had abused her. They simply took a pair of scissors and cut off part of her ear.

My new cat won't come out of hiding.

You all have such wonderful advice! Thank you all so much! The first few days, she wouldn't eat or use the litter box, but now she seems at least a little more comfortable, so she's eating and using the litter box now. I've sent an email to the foster family, and they've offered to come sit with...

My new cat won't come out of hiding.

That's actually a really great idea! The only problem is, that she's too aggressive to actually get out of the closet. I've been moving away the litter box and food a little bit more every night to try and inch her away from the closet. That's really the only thing I can think of right now. But...

My new cat won't come out of hiding.

A week ago today, I brought home a new cat. Her name is Chubbs.  About Chubbs: Chubbs is a three year old Dilute Tortoiseshell. I found her on Petfinder, where she was currently living with a foster family. She had been living with the foster family for about two years. After speaking with the...
