    Former Outoor Cat Litterbox Issues

Another update....we took him to the vet and $200 and an overnight stay later, just as I figured, no UTI, clean bill of health. But now he seems to be going backwards and pooping outside the box too. We have him confined to our laundry room right now where there are 3 litterboxes plus his food...

    Former Outoor Cat Litterbox Issues

Bit of an update: Tigey has been pooping in the box regularly for the past few days, but he still pees on the carpet almost daily. I'm going to take him back to the vet tomorrow just to make triple sure there's nothing wrong.

    I'll try that, thank you.

    Former Outoor Cat Litterbox Issues

I don't plan on letting him out at all. Putting plastic down would be a trick because entire rooms are carpeted, I'm not even sure how to make that work. We already have 5 litterboxes, and there doesn't seem to be a pattern, except for directly in front of a litterbox to where he's going.

    Former Outoor Cat Litterbox Issues

We've been using Cat Attract for months. It doesn't really seem to be helping. He has a clean bill of health, and as I mentioned before, the boxes, all 5 of them, are cleaned at least once a day. I tried confining him before but after a day I couldn't stand him crying and had to let him out...

    Former Outoor Cat Litterbox Issues

My husband and I have 4 cats, 3 males and a female. One of them is a former outdoor cat (Tigey) that adopted us almost 2 years ago. Here's the problem. We used to live in TN, where Tigey, our former outdoor cat had a pretty big backyard to hang out in. We had gotten to the point where he was...

Getting an outdoor cat to use a litterbox..and other problems

They have plenty of places to go vertical. Chance especially loves to hang out on top of the kitchen cabinets, and we've got a cat tree already. We have a big enough house for all of them, so it's not like they have to even see eachother all day if they don't want to. I'll try the litter...

Getting an outdoor cat to use a litterbox..and other problems

Before I get to the outdoor cat, let me first start by saying we have 3 indoor cats, one neutered female (Angie, 6) and two neutered males (Sherbet, 4, and Chance, 2). We got all three of them when they were kittens, and they all get along fine. About a year ago almost, I noticed a cat that...

I'm not quite sure what the exact problem is...

We have a couple friends that I'm sure will stop by a few times and check in on them. We're leaving on the 24th and coming back on the 26th, so they won't be alone too long. I really do feel better about leaving now that she has some company though.

I'm not quite sure what the exact problem is...

Yeah, that makes sense too. I have been watching her closely to make sure she's eating, and I've even started to take her in a different room, shut the door, and feed her by herself. She was spayed when we got her, she was 6 months old. Do they still do the mothering thing when they're spayed?

I'm not quite sure what the exact problem is...

Thanks. Did we do the right thing by getting another cat? We were a little worried that it was too soon. Part of the reason we made the decision to get another cat so soon was that we're leaving for a couple days over Christmas, and I just couldn't leave her all alone.

I'm not quite sure what the exact problem is...

Ok here's the situation. Our older cat, Entourage, passed away the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It came as a complete shock to my husband and I. He was only 5 years old, but he had a heart murmur from birth. We were laying in bed and he was laying on my lap. Suddenly he was just...gone. (I'm...

My two cats always got along....until today.

I tried to search for a similar problem...but I didn't have any luck. My fiance and I have two cats. A 4 year old male that he's had since he was a kitten, and a 1 1/2 (or so) year old female that we adopted a year ago. The two have always gotten along fine, which is why I'm sort of confused...
