    Need some advice

However, as far as your problem of her being outside, it's good for her to know that she can still be free as well as come to you for food. This is the first step. The process of gaining trust is a slow one but totally probable and so rewarding. To get her back in the house, stay outside and...

    Need some advice

I'm having the exact same problem with 'mommy', the mother of two ferals born in my shed. I've fed, loved, cared for her babies, protected and given the run of my house with the door wide open, and she still runs if I get close. It's very frustrating, however, I have not had time to give her...

Vet Clinic Screwed Up Antibiotic Prescription

I think (just an experienced but unprofessional opinion) that when it is a site wound of the skin, even when deep, the healing is faster then an infection that's internal. I've seen my cat's infected wound heal very fast after only three days of antibiotic use.

    New Kitty Mum! "Pit-Ring" rescues!

Where do you live? Maybe I'm not allowed to ask that. Can't you or someone you know just pretend to be interested in the fights, just to get info on them? Too horrible. I hope you can save all the cats, and eventually even the pit bulls, somehow.

In a quandary about cat in Shelter

Did you get a second vet opinion on Angel? I was reading up on the causes of pupil dialation and can't help but think that Angel is very feral and scared out of her brains in there. She's probably a very nice kitty but when cats get scared, they growl and hiss and act like they're mean, but...

How to move feral cats a few yards down to my house ..

If they are feral, they will not go where dogs are. If made to be in the same area they will hurt the dog thinking they are saving their life. So, this would be your first obstacle in moving the cats.

    Kitten at Work

Best to get them all on the mile long waiting list. When their time comes, they'll be glad you did! At this time, there seems not much else you could do.

The YouTube video, I LOVE CATS

Has everyone already seen this video? It is of a young college women making a video with some matchmaker service. When she starts talking about herself, she says that she loves cats. When she started talking about cats, she starts crying, saying about how much she loves them. It is really sweet...

    Problems with setting feeding stations

Some people don't like cats at all. Others see feeding ferals as asking for trouble, ie more and more cats overtaking the area. This is a difficult situation. Can you place the food away from this area, and away from the angry dog walker? Set up somewhere farther away. The cats roam. They WILL...

Found A Kitten (Can't be more than 2 - 4 months): Lost? Abandoned? Mother Looking For Them?

Can you put food next to your front door? Maybe mommy will come to eat too, or brother or sister, or whoever is meowing out there. You could find out this way.

    GOOD NEWA

Oops. Years later, we got a tiny kitten, and she would nurse from our dog!! Whether or not milk was happening, I kinda doubt it, but she was at least, a pacifier!

    GOOD NEWA

Oh my gosh!!!! You've been so busy!!! I had to laugh about the motorcycle thing. Good idea though. Sorry to hear that someone in the shelter put you though more hardship instead of helping you. We had a dog that was so motherly that she also nursed our other dogs babies. Years later,

    Fostering a pregnant cat

I lived on an island for 6 years and got to see first hand, up close how well animals are able to care for themselves in nature. It is safe for you and the kittens to just relax and trust that mommy's instincts. She will leave for long periods sometimes and short ones, others. But SHE will...
