That the family cat "Silky" had to be euthanized. Now she's at the Rainbow Bridge.
Was the first time I had to deal with death, I was 14 years old then.
In the Cat holic Church we have All Saints Day Nov1st for cannonized saints, All Souls Day for the rest of the dead, so we should do an All Cats Day on Nov 3rd where we remember all out rainbow bridge cats. Dog lovers could have an All Dogs Day as well.

Back in January this year we adopted 2 adult female neutered cats, Momcat and Smokey. Smokey was more socialized, Momcat hid all the time. After a couple of months, Momcat jumped up on my bed with me in it. And didn't mind a few pets. Nowadays Momcat is always in my bed every night, along...

Our (USA) 4th of July is on July 4th this year. Other countries have their 4th of July's on other days. :D

In the Catholic church, the day after Halloween is "All Saints Day, and Nov 2nd is "All Souls Day" for all our friends and relatives who have checked out. In a similar vein, we could have "All Cats Day" Nov 3rd, for all our Rainbow Bridge cats.
My "All Cats Day" RB cats: Silky, Cricket...
I've heard that shelters won't adopt out any black cats in October. To prevent someone using a black cat as a party prop or worse at a Halloween party.

I would hope that this cat is taken to the local shelter and anonymously put up for adoption (assuming the cat is healthy).
Not sure which forum this should go in... if this one is a poor choice.
In the Catholic Church Nov 1 is "All Saint's Day", Nov 2nd is "All Souls Day", which is for our friends and relatives who have checked out. Lets make Nov 3rd "All Cats Day" and remember the cats we had that have crossed the bridge.
