So my mom adopted a 10 week old female kitten from the local shelter and we already have a 6 month old male cat. What would be the best ways to go about introducing them? 

At first i held him and my mom tried clipping his nails but then she decided to hold him and have me attempt to clip his nails. And I'm not sure what kind they are, but I think they are actually for dogs 

Yeah I have an end table next to my desk that he uses to look out the window.  And he also sits on the back of my chair to watch me on the computer.  But usually he's either on my bed or on top of my computer tower.
