Oh yes. I don't plan on keeping her eating fish as a main protein source. When I was at the foster's, it was the only thing I just went "Nooooo" internally when talking with her. But I think Weruva may help transition her to a slightly "healthier" fish based food, while I attempt to transition...
Good to know! I'm about to adopt a cat this week who's been eating solely Friskies dry/wet seafood flavors, and I imagine it's gonna be pretty hard to convert her off of that. Weruva to the rescue (hopefully!)
I have to disagree with this, at least the "love is not having someone hang all over you" part. People and cats show affection in different ways, and it's important that the wants of both parties are met. It sounds a bit weird to apply the typical love languages concept to cats, but it does work...
I'm not sure which source you were looking at, but here is one: http://www.onlynaturalpet.com/holistic-healthcare-library/food-diet---raw/8/raw-food-feeding-guidelines-summary.aspx
It's a bit hard to say, with a guaranteed analysis not being a 100% picture. Putting the values from the 4health pages on Tractor Supply into carb calculators seem to be roughly 10-14% in dry matter carbohydrates (depends on the calculator). But that could lower or increase depending on the...
Does she have a space to call her own? Any cat trees that she can get high up on? I noticed you said that she has a closet she hides in that you mentioned multiple times. Maybe she needs more space to call her own in other parts of your house.
1000 calories = 1 kilocalorie = 1 Calorie
(Note the capitalization between small calorie and large Calorie (which is what we typically think of for food)).
1000 cal = 1 kcal = 1 Cal for the most part. It's a confusing distinction. So in your case of wet food, they get roughly 79 kcal/Calories...
Do you have a picture of the container? It would help to know what kind of size you're working with.
If it's plastic, it might take awhile to get rid of any lingering odor. Otherwise, I don't see why it couldn't hold grains afterwards.
Nope. He currently has 3 cats that use Arm & Hammer unscented, and just said that his cats hated pine litter. I'm not quite sure where his claim came from.
Thanks for the input. :)
Hi there!
I don't own a cat yet, but am planning on having one in the future. In my research, I came upon pine litter (i.e. a brand like Feline Pine) as an alternative to other litter like clay based ones.
However, I consulted with a friend, and he said that it was a bad idea. Reason being...
