I do have a large crate but the guest room they are staying in is very tiny (think enough room to have a full-sized bed (which they have yet to figure out how to get on top of) and a window next to it with a dresser at the foot of the bed.... I can technically fit the large dog crate in there...

Awww... thanks! The camera should be under $1,000 by now because I only paid around $900... but see, SLR digitals can run up to $16,000! lol!!! My D100 was almost $3,000 and I was considering a D2X for $5,000 but I coudn't justify it when I know dang well that D70 would suffice.

lol! Thanks! Tracey, my advise is to get as much light on the black cat as you can... (don't use flash that always makes everything look flat and icky)... Get her/him near a window, put all the lights on in the room with the cat near the window if you have to... If you have a big white sheet...
