Sadly the kitten has died it's breathing was labored and it was very sleepy. It never woke up.
The rest of kittens are all eating and growing normally. Hopefully she will be able to take care of these five. All 3 of the cats Lucy and her kittens we kept from her previous litter have appts to be...
For some reason Lucy moved the kittens. Evidently she moved them several times. She left different kittens in different places. Unfortunately by the time we found all of them one had died and I am fairly certain another is pretty close. It won't eat, for me or her. The others are doing good...
I believe I may be in over my head on feeding the kittens. I am afraid I will hurt them while trying to help them. I will continue to give mama the KMR and rotating the kittens. So far this is working fine. They are not crying they eat and sleep like normal babies. Honestly the one I was worried...
Thank you so much Sarther2. I do need instructions on the burping and such. The KMR is a hit. Lucy loves it. The do not cry like in the very beginning and I do not separate them for very long just enough for the tiny one to eat. I do make sure it's very warm though!
While feeding the babies how...
Well it's red but it is just spotting I'll keep an eye on her. The kittens are all eating and growing except for one. It's not way smaller but does seem skinner than the rest, so I am separating them 4 and 3 like someone suggested earlier. Even though most of my time has been spent rotating them...
Thank you so much! I unfortunately cannot move her into the house due to my husbands allergies. I have noticed the kittens crying some I assume they are just fussing because as of now they all look about the same size. Today we kept them rotated pretty good. I will weight them though and...
Yes they seem to all be moving and eating. There's one or two that are always on top. I've tried to make sure none are being left out. Lucy (mama) is okay with me gently moving them around her but I don't think she would let me move them somewhere else.
I wasn't able to find it today. I looked...
She had them under the back deck, same spot as before. The other kittens are 3 months old.
Also someone suggested I use a baby formula when I couldn't the kmr is this safe?
Okay.. Thanks a lot! I will get all this together ASAP!
The other two kittens we kept from her previous litter are still around is this okay? They have made no attempt to come around since the birthing process seems to be over but where she had them is not fully protected from her two oldest.
There's now 7 kittens. We are not sure if we missed one while counting or if she has had another but all babies and mama seem fine. Thank you for the help!
Thank you! They all appear to be nursing and doing great. I don't push hard but when i feel her stomach it's not lumpy it's smooth not as hard but not soft like normal. Last time she had babies she looked like a different cat she was so skinny. I know like humans each pregnancy can be different...
We have three kittens so far :) she has been in labor since about 7:30 -8pm. She delivered the third one about 10:30. I am certain there is more than three. They are tiny and she was so big (and still is) how long does this normally last? Her last litter (of 5) was born in the night so we had no...
Yes! I plan on getting her spayed as soon as possible after she has these kittens. I was going to get her done before this but we found out she was pregnant. Unfortunately my husband is highly allergic to cats so bringing her in is not an option. She was dropped as a kitten at my grandparents...
Oh wow really? She had 5 before. Also any advice on a nesting spot for her since she's outside with 2 other cats? 128563They are her babies from before but will she feel comfortable enough to let them around her or her new kittens during birth?
