I see there are quite a few threads related to pododermatitis, but I I didn't read all of them because I'm specifically trying to find out if anyone knows of something I can use topically to soothe my cats paws while waiting for her vet appointment.

Thank you, I have something called dynamite, not sure if that's similar to the vegemite, I will Google it. Yesterday at 10pm I was cooking bacon, I reserved the fat and added a few drops to the top of her food and she was eating it! I wonder if there's a bacon flavored cat food or something...

Definitely get him to the vet. My cat is allergic to fish and his lip swells up for a few days, but it goes away. It looks a little like this, but doesn't go down as far onto his chin like your cat. Let us know what the vet says. Best of luck.
