    Rescued two stray kittens

Kittens are resilient little critters! Glad to hear things are getting better for them. I'm sure they will settle in with your family just fine! Give it time! <3

    Apartments that require declawing

I have some happy news! The vet clinic I took little Fly to for her first visit is a No-Declaw clinic! I told them my situation with my landlord and they were ready with a bunch of literature, a signed letter stating that they WON'T declaw cats for their health and well being, and recommended...

    Rescued two stray kittens

Good luck with your new kittens! The best advice I can give for the skittish one is to always let her make the first move and let her come to you as much as you can. If it means scheduling extra time before the vet appointment to slowly approach her or coax her with food  or toys for 30...

    Apartments that require declawing

    Taking in a stray kitten!

I'm sure I will love her however she grows up to be like! I just noticed, two of her claws are scabbed over like they were pulled out or broken some how. Perhaps this is where the blood came from... but she has no trouble walking and playing and scratching her post!

    Taking in a stray kitten!

Quote: Thanks for all the info! I did briefly consider two cats... but my budget is stretched as it is. (And pet rent here is PER PET! INSANE.) Luckily I do know a friend who also recently adopted a kitten so maybe they can be playmates once I get her vaccinated. I don't have a balcony, but...

    Taking in a stray kitten!

It's the typical story you might hear~ I found a stray kitten in the bushes outside my window! After much calling around to shelters and friends, debating and budgeting, I've decided to keep her. (Her name is Fly!) I have some concerns about her being so young (my guess is only about 5-6...
