Please do not declaw her. It will do her more harm than good. Does she have litter box problem or food aggression? Maybe try to play with her for 10 mins twice a day instead of one and give it a try for 2 weeks and see how it goes.
Hex could be over stimulated, hence his tail is bristled. My cat does that when she feels happy and she purr-ed at the same time same goes for her while she is playing.
Purring can mean a few things depending on the situation. It can mean happy, pain etc Some cats pur throughout their whole...
Is she spayed ? How long did you play with her? Are you usually very anxious around her? Because she might take that anxious energy from you. Personally, I felt that Feliway is totally fine with it as they calm the cat down.
@PushPurrCatPaws & @shardaye
I see! I guess we do things quite differently here hence I was abit confused about it. Thanks for the clarification! We only started spaying only at the age of 6 months and also fully vax.
I guess you better bring your feline to another vet, just in case your feline wasn't bitten. Let's just rule out all the medical issues. Do a blood test if needed.
Trauma could cause the following symptoms. Try to calm yourself down as that will help to calm the cat down as the cat is...
Sending her for a spay surgery at 4 months old? Isn't that way too early? Don't you want to wait for 2 more months? Usually for my case, I would tell the owner to give it around 3 weeks or so before the next vax. Just in case.
Get her to a vet first to rule out any medical issues first. Btw, do you have places for her to climb around and explore the house on a higher ground area?
Sounded as though he was carried off while playing. Do monitor their playtime and make sure it doesn't get too rough. Let them have a positive bonding time like eat together or/and play with an interactive toy together.
When she first came , she displayed play aggression and I came out with a Programme for her to release that pent up energy. Her play time is twice a day , 10-15min each session. Play first before I feed her. Clicker training and taught her how to sit , wait and stay.
Slowly her pent up energy...
@MServant She was done with her Clicker training in 5 days. She learnt how to "sit" "wait" "quiet" and "down" I want to do "paw" with her but apparently she is quite sensitive with me touching her paws so i'm conditioning her to it. Slowly, but we're getting there soon! I'm doing leash training...
Hmmm .. My cat previously used to be full of energy and when I adopted her, she actually targeted my neck on the second day. But now I don't know why she does not want to play despite me rotating the toys. Do you have any idea how your cat acts without you at home?
The others were right! This cat needs alot of play, hunt and kill.
It's good to place alot of cat condos on various part of the house especially in the kitchen if you feline likes to watch you do your cooking like mine does (: Show your cat some Cat TV or build a Cat TV in the yard so that...
Sorry about the confusion >< I was posting this while in a dog shelter. When she first came into our house, she went around and explore. The first 2 hours she was hiding. After that she came out and starting interacting with us. We Feliway-ed our 3 days prior her arrival making sure the scent is...
I recently adopted a cat (1.5y) a month ago. Her play behavior kinda confused me. She is not interested in light kind of toys. For example, laser, ball with lights. she doesn't self entertain with the toy laying down there. She loves feathered toy but she would get bored around a week. Currently...
