    Switching to adult food?

Hi, I have one cat Cheeto (12 months in March), and Bailey, who will only be 10 months in March, so I'm not sure what to feed them at this point. Feeding them separately isn't really an option, they free eat dry Nutro Natural Choice. Any suggestions of if they should both switch to the adult...

    New Cheeto and Bailey!

Haven't posted some pics in awhile, so here's some new ones taken over the holidays. Can you believe Bailey is only 7 months old? (He's a big boy!), and Cheeto was a short hair kitten according to the SPCA, haha? What I'm not doing anything wrong?? I love when he sits pretty like this...

    Bath time?

Ok, so today for the first time I decided to give my 8 mo. old and 6 mo. old kittens a bath. I started with the 6 month old kitten first, because he's the gentlest......or so I thought. He screamed and scratched and practically went through the shower curtain, so I finished the rinsing with...

    Clicker Training?

I was wondering if anyone has tried clicker training with their cats, I saw a book on amazon.com, and was just seeing if anyone has had any success with training cats this way. I was thinking of adding it to my Christmas list

    Poor Cheeto (again)

Some of you may remember when I got my kitten Cheeto, she had birth defects and her stomach was adhesed to her bladder, and needed major surgery at the age of 4 months. Since then she's had to go back to the vet for many checkups. Well, yesterday I went to clip her nails and noticed her toes...

    Getting neutered tomorrow!

Hi, Just asking for some good thoughts for Bailey who's getting neutered tomorrow. They use a laser somehow there, I don't know much about that type of surgery at all. Is it any harder/easier for the cat to recover from? He has also recovered fine from the rubber bracelet eating incident...

    Help, cat ate plastic

Hi, One of my cats has eaten one of those LiveStrong bracelets. I think I know which cat it is. He threw up a little bit on Sat., but seemed fine and the vomit was just food, but this morning there's vomit with pieces of bracelet in it. He's still playing and stuff, and I'm calling the vet...

    Staticky cats!

This isn't really too much of a health concern, but I wasn't sure where to put it. I live in a really dry place in the winter (Edmonton, Alberta), and I've noticed since fall has come that the cats are really staticky! You can hear them crackle when they run and touch a blanket or something...

I took a few more pictures of the kitties. You all are going to get sick of seeing them soon I've posted so many lately Where's Bailey? Cheeto and Bailey "playing" with gerbil friend Fiona. I think they're trying to figure out how to get lunch out of the ball more than playing though

    E-Collar

Just home from the emergency vet clinic, as it's the only one open after hours, because Cheeto will not leave her stitches alone. She got fitted with an E-Collar, and the vet said to watch to see if she can eat and drink ok. I have no experience with the collars, any user tips from people who...

    New Kitten

First a Cheeto update. She had her surgery yesterday, and is doing ok. It turns out that she had a congenital defect and her bladder was attached to her stomach and she had a small hernia. There is still an abnormality in her urethra but the vet isn't sure if it will cause her problems or...

    Prayers for Cheeto!

Hi, I wrote before about how the vet thought my little kitten had a urinary infection. After some x-rays, they now believe that during her spay, the bladder was pushed aside and has now adhered to the stomach wall. She's going in for surgery on Friday. The vet says it's not too complicated...

    Basic Kitty Manners

My Cheeto has terrible manners about everything, and I'm unsure on how to teach her to behave. She races out the apartment door into the hallway (thank goodness it's not a door to outside!), jumps on the counter, won't stay away when I'm eating, and gets excited and bites and scratches. I know...

    Kitten with UTI

Hi, My three month old kitten (female), Cheeto was diagnosed with a UTI today. She had blood and bacteria present in the urine, and she's on anitbiotics for two weeks. I was unaware that such young kittens could get this. Also, is it more serious given her age? Thanks!

    I'm Back...with a looong story

Hi, Some of you might remember that I got my beautiful Bengal boys a few months ago. I ended up moving to a new city and now have a tiny apartment with not enough room for two kitties, so sadly I gave them back to the breeder They've never been alone, and wouldn't adjust well to just keeping...
