Update on Loki. We did not end up doing the enema. I tried the olive oil in the formula again and it worked. Loki smelled horrible for about a day. I mean it smelled BAD! After that first poo he refused to eat so we spent a whole night syringe feeding about every hour. Whenever he pottied he...
@sarthur2 Missy is doing good. She managed to get ALL her stitches out. :frusty: but her incision looks good and no fever. I talked to the vet and he said as long as those two things are good and she is taking her antibiotics, there is no need to bring her in. Her aggressive behavior is better...
He feeds on his stomach promise. My daughter took the picture and this was right when i was about to pull the bottle away. He was digging his claws in and pulling up. I wondered why you said that and i looked again. I guess the light makes the bottle look full but it was empty. And your not...
He has pooed a couple of times today. Yay! He weighed 104 grams at birth and as a few minutes ago 129. So around 6 grams a day. I think since he has started the bottle I should see a little more a day because he is eating more .
Loki is constipated. Poor thing. I diluted his formula and added a couple of drops of olive oil to this last bottle. Keeping my fingers crossed. If no poo I guess we will be off to the vet. Speaking of bottles, we made the transition from the 1 ml syringe to a bottle this morning. He did great...
Missy is pulling her stitches out! Oh my gosh! What do I do?
She has been absolutely horrible since yesterday! It started with her attacking my 12 year old spayed female. They don't fight. I mean they were never cuddle buddies, they just don't interact with each other. It happened several...
We are doing good today! Thank you so much. You guys are wonderful.
I was getting concerned because Loki wasn't pooing very good but then I learned about the triangle method and all is well now. That works really well! :lol3:
Mom and baby went back to the vet yesterday. He said the kitten...
I think I have everything worked out. I'm super emotional today is all. You know when you've had no sleep and everything just looks dire, you expect the worse. I will make it through without quiting.
Sigh. I have been taking the kitten in with me every time i check on Missy, around once an hour. She sniff but turns away and is more worried about me picking her up than seeing to her baby. If she is laying down I try to let the kitten nurse but she growls and runs away. She has completely...
She's not aware enough. I have let her sniff and snuggle to her face but she'sjust too out of it. Will keep up the feeding til mom is better. I just hope she accepts it. Im not sure how cats do with there young if they don't actually go through the birthing process. Keep us in your thoughts...
Okay baby fed. Ate like a champ! 3.7 ounces and man how wonderful to see that number after what I went through with Marlowe! Loved and cooed Missy for a while and she seems better.
Meet baby Loki
