Julie,
Yes, I have used Bach Flower Essences with success. One of my guys 'requested' -- via an animal communicator -- that I start adding two different Bach Flower Essesces to his food. One was Heather: to help him not be quite so self-absorbed and chatty all the time. The other was Chicory...
OK, I'm curious... has anyone else tried the garbage bag trick? I've never heard that before and I'm desperate to try anything at this point. Dear husband has given me one more week and if the bengal pees on the carpet again... he's gone!!!!!! (the bengal, that is!)
Like everyone else, I've...
Thanks to everyone for your speedy replies. Some points have been raised, though, that I want to clarify:
1) Because the Bengal seems to mark only alongside walls and never in the middle of a room, I am fairly confident it is not a UTI situation. (We've had a cat with kidney/bladder problem...
Hello all.
I haven't needed to post in a while, but now I REALLY need your help!!!!!
We have recently moved from Tennessee to Texas. After roughly two months of living in our new home -- brand new spec house; no previous owners -- our two-year-old golden Bengal boy has started urinating...
Dear most knowledgeable breeders,
I look to you as experts because you live and breathe Bengals! Whereas my vet has never treated any before mine.
Is it true that Bengals as a breed are predisposed to developing FIP -- moreso than other breeds? We have already lost one baby to FIP and fear a...
Our 6-month old has decided his favorite "toy" is electrical cords! He's not picky: computer cables, telephone cords, clock radios, fans, etc. We've already been the squirting water route and the pennies in a can trick. We even bought the a tube of bitter lime paste -- this only seems to slow...
Is it OK for cats to eat nuts?
One of my Bengals would give his right paw for pistachios! He comes running as soon as we open the can and won't leave our sides until we've finished snacking. One time, he about dislocated his shoulder trying to retrieve a pistachio that had fallen under the...
One of our Bengals would give his right arm (or paw, I guess) to eat pistachios. We buy a big bag of them at Sam's to snack on and he can smell them as soon as we open the bag!
Are pistachios (or any nuts for that matter) OK for cats to eat -- or are they a "no no" like chocolate?

Well, here it is April 18th -- nearly three months since my last post -- and little Mikado has NOT improved!! His "goings" are pure liquid. He is gaining weight and seems to eat and drink enough, but the chronicity of his diarrhea and now his virtual "inertia" are most concerning us.
He NEVER...
Well, no big changes yet. Little Mikado is still fighting the runs. We are giving both of them a teaspoon of yogurt each day to help build GOOD bacteria in their systems. We have maintained them on the same diet started by the breeder -- which is Eukanuba dry food for kittens. Then a couple of...
Well, here it is more than seven days and $400 later and our one poor little baby is still fighting runny poo.
We took them both to the vet on Friday for a one week follow up appointment. They also received some of their usual kitten shots, too. The silver boy, Keiko, never has shown any...
When we got home yesterday from the vets we emptied all the litter, cleaned and disinfected the pans, and filled them with clean litter. Since they're on the medication do we still need totally new litter everyday? We've been cleaning out the stools and urine clumps constantly. Is that still not...
Thanks for the yogurt tip. So far it hasn't bothered them but the yogurt can't hurt either.
I've got pictures but I don't know how to post them in the reply.
We just got back from the vet. He just has coccidiosis. It's a protozoa infection in the digestive track. The vet said it probably came from the breeder and that it's common. We just have to give them medicine for 7 days and they both will be fine.
I just got two male bengal kittens. We've had them two weeks now. I just saw one of them use the litter box and noticed red in it. Upon closer inspection I discovered what appeared to be bloody mucous around the stool. He acts and plays fine. I'm taking him into the vet ASAP but I'm curious now...
