My cat has been constantly drooling and her chin is always soaked. Is there some reason behind this drooling? She's never been like this before. Would a constantly wet chin cause skin problems?

One side of my cats gums is black. I don't know if they've always been like that, but she never lets me open her mouth. She has a black spot on each pink paw pad, so I don't know if it's just a natural marking or not. If it isn't a marking, is it very serious? I'll get pics up as soon as I can.
