    Stubborn mats!

Haha! Finally got that last little mat!

    Odd behavior

2 things, somewhat related: We've had our newly adopted 4-year-old cat for 3 weeks now. She's been skittish from the start but just over the last couple days she's ventured onto the main level during the day. Since then she's been *super* jittery, ridiculously jumpy, even in our bedroom where...

    Stubborn mats!

She still has a couple little mats below her chin.  I've got all the tools now but it's awfully hard to work on the mats when she is not fond of it and will nip at me.   Might have to do it when hubby is home to help distract her?

    Stubborn mats!

Well we went to the groomer and got the shave done! No more mats! She seems much happier - more lovey and more playful. :)

Cat tree/furniture for fully declawed cat?

Thank you all again! Celestina seems to enjoy her tower and has no problem with it despite being declawed!  :)

    Stubborn mats!

So far Celestina is not a fan of me trying to remove mats at all.  She likes being brushed usually, but when it comes to mats... she also bites the combs or sometimes nips at me and/or runs away.   We're getting her groomed professionally tomorrow, so that'll take care of the current situation...

    Stubborn mats!

Here are the brushes and combs I currently have for Celestina. I feel like it's a bit overkill but I also feel like I'm missing something! What else would be helpful for a Himalayan Ragdoll? A slicker brush? A rake with turning tines/pins? A skip tooth comb? A mat cutting comb? I feel...

Help! Newly adopted cat hiding somewhere in basement for over a week.

Update:  We are leaving our door open now and just last night she ventured out into the house for the first time - but she came back to our room afterward!  Whew!  I was so nervous she'd bolt for the basement again!  We still have her food, water and litter in our room; at what point should we...

I feel lucky to have her!

Help! Newly adopted cat hiding somewhere in basement for over a week.

We've opened our bedroom door now - figured it would be best to let her venture out on her own accord. Got a cat tree for the living room and I'm excited for her to see it but don't want to force her out of her comfort zone.

    Stubborn mats!

Like this? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002AQUSE/?tag=&tag=thecatsite We have one that is just like a metal wide toothed comb - all the same length. This is the only kind of rotating one I see, in various brands but same style...

Cat tree/furniture for fully declawed cat?

So.... How am I supposed to hang the included dangly toys on the cat tree?  The instructions don't give any indication.  My husband thought maybe stapling?
