    why does my cat wash me?

    I have a burmilla and we have always been v close. He has taken to washing or grooming me whenever he can, esp on my face. Why does he do this and could I catch anything from him? Also he likes to lick plastic around the house like the washing basket. Do I just have a strange cat lol
