Usually things like this are either stress/anxiety related or from something missing in the diet. Just like pregnant women crave dirt or crayons, cats can grave weird objects when they are missing nutrients. 

My one female, Princess, will actually beg for food. She will sit in front of me and put her paw on my leg and stare at me. It is so funny.

My niece's cat was missing for 5 months and was randomly seen by one of her friends not to far from her house. She was perfectly healthy and obviously finding food! lol I hope that gives some people hope out there.

I missed it!!!! NOOO! I was looking for pet stairs the other day for my oldest cat. I want to keep him from jumping as much. I will have to check for after Christmas specials. 

Biting is a form of affection, play, warning, or aggression. It doesn't sound like aggression and a warning bite, you will know he is mad before hand. 

1 - relocate the behavior. Buy him a carpeted cat post! Use cat nip to encourage him to use it. 2 - some cats prefer to be around one or two people at a time. My first cat was this way. He used to sit by the stairs and wait for people to leave when they were over.

Love the Cat It toys! I have a few tracks I got for my oldest on his birthday. This year, I kept it simple and got each of them a toy filled stocking. They each have about 10 toys and some catnip inside. :)

I am sorry for your loss :( Have you ruled out venomous spiders in your area? How about flea treatment? Over the counter flea treatment (like collars, and oils you can buy from Walgreens) can kill cats. My first cat died from the stuff year ago. 

Looks like an infection or fungus. Be sure to take her in.  My mother's dog had a black patch in his mouth and came to find out it was from a calcium deficiency. 

Get her foods with no grains or corn. This sounds like a grain/corn allergy problem. One of mine has this. I buy him Wellness canned food and Wellness pouches. Dry food is awful for cats and should only be used at 50% of their diet at the highest, meaning 50% we and 50% dry.  As for the...
