One of our cats has a skin tag on the back of his right leg. He's actually had this twice before and the vet put him under full anesthetic for the day to cut it off. We now have a new vet who didn't seem to know what to do (asked me what they did last time).
The thing is this little bulb...
4 indoor meows. We were in a 960 sq ft. house with a 200 sq ft. outdoor sanctuary. Now in a bigger house, but don't think the herd wants any new members. Giving each one enough attention is hard as it is.
Here's the cat sanctuary for those who didn't see it (it's on a different thread). I was trenching electricity to the garage, but you can see the general idea. The people who owned the place before us did a nice job with the plants, I can take no credit for that.
I'm sorry to hear about that :( I think the main reason we don't let our guys out is cars, but that's another mean one. People seem to have no hesitation about dousing chemicals around.
We just moved from Seattle (much to my chagrin). My wife is at ISU. I work out of my garage. Last winter was brutal and this one looks to be similar :(
Yeah, I made one with some boards and some sceen/mesh material. I was getting good m,ileage out of the pellets. Now, with my 50/50 ratio, the box is ready to change when all the pellets have been used up, so I just chuck the whole thing. The pine shavings are very cheap, like $6-7 for this...
Just sharing. We used to use clay litter, but then tried switching because of the dust and the smell (fragrance) and that it's not sustainably produced. We tried Swheat Scoop for a while until we realized one of our cats was eating it! Anyway, we seem to have settled on pine pellets, and in...
Yes, 4 cats is our limit. Honestly, none of the three were happy when we brought Tavis home. Our first two came together. When we got Daisy, it was instant acceptance (maybe had to do with her being a girl, I don't know), but it was two solid weeks before the herd accepted Tavis. They are all...
Here is Tavis. He hails from Seattle. We picked him up from the Whisker City bus. They are a great no kill shelter in that area. Tavis is a little guy and likes his house. He is very domesticated. He's basically our Nermal cat... adorable.
This is Daisy. She hails from eastern PA. Mile and Biscuit both came from a shelter (same time), whereas Daisy was living under a coworkers truck as a kitten. We weren't trying to accumulate cats and the initial thought was to foster her, but she won us over quickly. We think she is part...
Here is Biscuit. He is also from Indiana. Here he is hunting in the sanctuary. Biscuit is super smart. He can open some doors, flush toilets, etc. He is our best hunter. He brought in 15 chipmunks this year (first year in this house). All but 2 survived as we took them form him in time. ...
