    Yellowish discharge?

So its a bit awkward to say, but I've noticed the tiniest amount of yellowish whitish disharge with snot/mucus consistency on Rocky's genital area.. just a speck really, and just a couple of times. Should I be concerned? He's acting normally, no excessive grooming or anything. A google search...

Alternatives to steroid treatment? Need help for cat with severe allergies

Rocky's been struggling with skin allergies for quite the while, and we have tried so many things to try and treat them with little to no success. I apologize for the somewhat long back story. In September of last year, he began itching himself and overgrooming, resulting in hair loss. We took...

    Dark Stools with Blood

Rocky has been passing darker/black stools for a while now, but I just assumed it was a result of changing his diet. His feces are of regular consistency, perhaps a bit more soft. Today when I was cleaning the litter I found that the litter around one of his poops was tinged red! It never...

Cat isn't liking new prescription diet?

After Rocky was diagnosed with a UTI, we've been feeding him 1 can of Hills s/d per day for about a week now. Until as of late, he had no problem with the new diet, and transitioned to it very quickly. However, he's started being a bit more.. finicky.. I guess in the past 3 days. It takes him a...

Urinary Tract Obstruction and Infection, How to Prevent Reblockage

Last night we had to rush Rocky out to the emergency vet at 9:00 PM, as he was displaying all the symptoms of a urinary blockage. I'm glad we did take him, for it turns out we were right. At first we had thought he was constipated, but that obviously turned out not to be the case. The poor...

    Dexamethasone?

Rocky is on dexamethasone for his allergies, and has been on the medication for about 2 months now. I never bothered to google the medication he was taking, but today I decided to look into it. It says that cats are commonly given 0.5 mg.. Rocky is on 1.5 mg, he gets one tablet crushed into his...

    Elizabethean Collar Help!

Rocky had a biopsy done yesterday, and he has to wear an e collar for about a week! We tried leaving it off under supervision, but he keeps trying to lick at his incisions. My main concern is him being able to eat and drink with it on- he just ends up pushing his food and water bowl around. My...

    Omega 3 for cats?

I've heard that giving a cat omega 3 supplements can help with their coat. This winter both of our cats have been experiencing dandruff and their fur is much more dull and not as shiny. Their diet hasn't been changed. Would giving them omega 3 help? If so, what is the best way to give it to them?

Feeding a Mixed Dry & Wet Diet

I have been feeding my two cats a combination of Purina Cat Chow Complete and Friskies Pate Wet Food for 2 years. I am switching to Kirkland Signature Maintenance Cat Food and Trader Joe's canned food, and want to make sure I'm giving them the right amount of calories and nutrients between the...

Hair Loss and Other Symptoms in Both Cats

Hello. Before I say anything, I have already scheduled a vet appointment for my cats, and am simply looking for opinions in the meantime.
