Dave and the page No Eye Shadow is my favorite! I look at it every day. The kittenxlady is another favorite. She was the one who rescued Rosa. It is a great story.
I can only add my experience. My cat was licking and scratching until her tummy was bare and had little sores. I took her to a specialist and we went through the list.
Is it food related? He said no because she did respond when we gave her pred. I had tried limited ingredient diets but she...
This brings back memories for me. You have a lot of good knowledge and advice here already.
My cat Meeka (black short hair) had a similar situation. Vet questioned whether the frequent vomiting was IBD or cancer. Vet said pred would be the treatment either way. I did do the abdominal sono and...
Oh I've just read that you need to do something to change the area they are marking so it isn't appealing.
I treated the wall and wood floor with natures miracle to to get the odor out but she keeps going there. I taped paper towels on the wall and floor so I can more readily see when she...
I'm also having cat on cat aggression with an existing cat attacking my new kitten. Vicious attacks. They can't be together at all. I've been reading a lot about it,,,I like what Jackson Galaxy has to say. I've learned you will have to restart the intro process just as others here have...
Sounds like a territorial issue to me. Even though you don't always hear the other cats I can be pretty confident they are out there. My cat sprays on one wall,,,,the one that happens to be an exterior wall. I currently have a litter box in that area plus I've taped paper towels on the wall...
Sorry meant to add that I have a cat who is a nibbler,,,,some just are. I try not to stimulate her too much and I walk away when she starts doing it. Sometimes it is a sign that the cat just can't take much stimulation.
Kittens play and bite with their siblings and Walter is doing this with you. You can't encourage it however (I know you are not but just saying). Any time he does this remove him from the situation/room. Be very calm and kind however. Harsh treatment never works with cats and actually will...
Hi - I just joined and a little about me and my kitty family:
- I live in TX. Had cats all my life.
- I have 4 cats,,,all rescues.
1. Meeka - age 14 ish Black short hair. Dumped in my neighborhood. Neighbors feeding her dog food. Obvious that she had been nursing kittens. I...
Jumping in here ---- not to be harsh but I suggest returning him to the breeder. You are describing definite socialization issues. These cannot be completely reversed. I know because I'm living it myself with a feral rescue. Adopt a kitten from a rescue org who has been fostered in a home.
