Hello Danni88,
Your cat looks great. My cat Big is unfortunately gigantic. He was at last weighing around 20 lbs. which was good for him (He is a big cat and very solid). At present he must be closer to 30 lbs. He eats everything! The problem was that he would eat his food and my other cat...
Thank you. That's a good idea. I may try to get a very tall cat tree. He's a pretty good climber even with the extra weight. But if it's high enough it may work. I need to stop this now before he can't move. He loves wet food. It may work. I'll try to keep you posted on his progress.
Hello one and all. I have 2 cats. Beezle is about 14 lbs. Big must be well into his mid 20's (i think). Now I rescued both cats from the same home at different times. Beezle (I got him first) doesn't eat that much. He's not a big fan of treats or anything else really. Big on the other hand eats...
I have 2 cats that came from the same home but I got at different times. Beezle ( neutered) is now about 12 pounds and Big ( unneutered)is about 17 pounds. They have lived in different parts of the house because Big is being quarantined until we know if he has feline leukemia. Every once in a...
Well, they said there is nerve damage and that the tip of his tail will have to go. I'm getting a second opinion from my normal vet on Monday. I'm sure it will be cheaper too than the emergency room at the animal hospital. We shall see.
Best Richard
I'm at the emergency room now. I was away for 3 days and my roomate told me he did find a ladder on its side. I'm thinking the broken tail thing now. Oh, he is an inside cat now.
Best,
Richard
I just noticed that one of my cats has a sore end of his tail. He has been licking it. I touch it and it's very sore. It looks raw from what I can see. I'll attach a photo but you can't see much. I can't get a good look at it. Its almost like a puff ball now at the end. Any info would be helpful.
Thank you on the Transfer Factor. I will give it a try after looking into it a bit more.
Also I didn't know the stage 2 of disease might not show up. I thought it was the natural progression of it. I really want to put the 2 cats together. They use to be at their old home, but I won't till I...
He thought he has the virus still in some way and that more time was needed. I also have another cat and they have been separated since i got them. They both came from the same home but Beezle doesn't have it.
Hello all,
I have this male cat named Big. He was tested for feline leukemia and the snap test gave a weak positive result. My vet decided we should wait 3 months before retesting to see if his immune system was able to work it out of his system. 3 months later we do it again and it comes up a...
O.K. here we go. My cat Big went to the vet 3 months ago and had weak positive on the SNAP test. Doctor suggested waiting 3 months to see if his system could fight it off. 3 months later I take him in for another SNAP test. This also came back weak positive. A lab tech did the test so I made...
Thank you. I do trust my vet. He was wonderful with my first cat. Poor thing got lymphoma and died within the month at only 8 years old. I've never had to put an animal down before and I adored that cat (see photo near name). I'm hoping for the best for my new family member.
If that is the case why does my vet want to wait? He said there is a chance he can fight this off. Not great perhaps but a chance. I guess it's at stage 1 right now and not in the bone which it seems there is no chance.
He is a rather handsom boy and very sold. He has been hiding and just...
