YES! We had a tornado through our neighborhood two nights ago!
OMG it was scary. It was thankfully only a level 1, but it did plenty of damage. No one was hurt anywhere near us but up north they had worse tornados and someone died.
We lost two giant maple trees, both falling on our house...
We got hit by a tornado Wednesday. Luckily the house isn't too damaged but thousands of people had the electricity out. We had none for 24 hours and others waited even longer. It's amazing how much runs on electricity. We didn't get bored though, we had plenty of work to do cleaning up...
Welcome! Congratulations on the new fur family. I'm sure you'll be seduced by their charms very easily. Cats are wonderful companions.
I'm glad you are here.

I voted neither. I've found that my cats don't really like science diet dry much. The IAMS is high fat.
That being said I do sometimes feed canned SD and dry IAMS to my one picky cat Megan who tends to lose weight if she's not fed exactly the way she likes.
Otherwise we feed nutro dry...
Keeping Summer in my thoughts. I'm sending good vibes for a successful and uneventful surgery and a great home.
Fingers and paws crossed here.

1. What is your middle name? Leah
2. what was the weather like when you woke up this morning? Cold, 60's, and rainy
3. What are your furbabies doing as you read this? I don't know They are at home and I'm not. I'd bet you good money they are ALL sleeping though.
4. What does your bedroom...
At our twenty year reunion they had the emails and stuff for everyone. I just got in touch with the few I cared about and avoided the reunion. The other one, a ten year one, I paid to get the memory book and picture (without going - it was an option) and I never got either. I take it as a sign...
I finally talked with the shelter vet and got some answers. Laurel has chronic Rhinitis. In addition her culture initially showed pseudonimus (sp) and the subsequent culturing was to see what antibiotics might work against it. Apparently this kind of thing is pretty resistant.
The good...
Oh my! What great answers from all of you.
Some of those memories...! If there really was a process to remove memories I'd gladly pitch in to make it possible for DiMa and jcat especially! I can't even imagine....
I love the dreams. It's funny how many have cats in them!
Anyone else...
Mom of Many,
I am holding these little kittens in my prayers.
I never intended to imply they weren't getting the best care. I was mostly trying to learn if there are new strategies for this kind of case (for if I ever get another litter with it in my home).

Oh...I forgot to say that I think 21 isn't too young to foster. (Do you have some references, vet, etc., if they have qualms?) It may depend on the shelter policies and the attitude of the people working there.

Amber,
Do you already have some contact with the shelter? If not it's probably not too soon to start the ball rolling. Most shelters take a while to get through the paperwork and it may take a while before they would get back to you. (Of course once they do they might have a cat for you...
In my experience yes. I have another cat (not the one I originally asked about) that goes through a period in the spring where she gets the sneezing with snot blasts fits. The rest of the year she's fine so I think she has seasonal allergies.
Other cats can have a reocurrance of the original...
I guess I should answer my own questions. It's only fair!
1. What cd(s) are in your cd player right now?
Indigo Girls latest CD
Ben Folds live
one from Sotavento (excellent local band)
the CD that came with my meditation PC game, what is the name of that?
and one other I can't remember...
Hullo!
How do you tell those kittens apart! How fun!
Nice to meet you and Tasha. (You will be getting her spayed once she weans the kittens right?! )
