I wanted to say a big thank you to all the advice I was given last year for my feral cat. It took some time and patience but as I write she is snoozing in my lap. She is still skitzy at times but on the whole she is loving, fur mowing free and the other cats have accepted her :)

Hi. I feel terrible but I just noticed my older cat is getting some mild hair matting around her lower back area. They are small. Is there a gentle way to remove them as I tried brushing her and it seems to pain her a bit..maybe detangler or conditioner during a bath?

I think that's a good idea...we can't do 4 boxes though. It's a small space. I will try the feliway and bring their blankets and such. Thank u :)

A quick update. Skinny kitty did not have ringworm and the vet put her on clavamox. What a difference! She's up to 9 lbs and not nearly scratching as much. We might have to give her a new name

No I was going to make one soon. The vet said she needed time for all the hormones to fully go away.

So a quick update. I took the advice and tried the baby food mixed with the medicine and it worked beautifully. No stress no horrible capture experience. I think she sees the bed as a safe zone as she is still unapproachable anywhere else. It's like having 2 cat's. .but its good enough for me.

Hi all. I recently rescued a starving feral and have quasi socialized her..to me at least. She has terrible ringworm and I have to give her medicine every day. Shes too canny to take it in her food so its a liquid down the throat. My issue is that we do so well together but pill time is horrific...
