I only have him a week but today he hasnt ate or drank much at all, I got him from my friends mum, he does a lot of sleeping is this normal?

My kitten is 6 wks old and has a cold but his nose is really blocked up and I can hear him snuffling, , I rang the vet and she said if he got any worse to ring bk,, im really worried hes sneezig allot and I feel helpless, im new to this only got him last week al Advice welcome thanks
