Hang on! Guys! You're telling me there's a doctor what specializes in medicine for animals??
Seriously, people, I don't need to hear with every single reply that I should take her to a vet. I know I should take her to a vet. But did you know that vet's cost +gasp+ money?
I remember going on...
Of course. But given the night before she was in high spirits and ate a ton (into which the pill was mixed), and the next day she's suddenly bad with no warning, seems logical.
Just call it my curiosity then. If a cat has one of the LISTED side effects of Capstar including trouble breathing...
Does anyone happen to know WHAT in a bad medication reaction would cause breathing problems? I would think something like that would be so bad it would kill her in a day, or she'd be getting better. 😕
I gave two kitties Capstar 2 days ago, and one has had trouble breathing since. It sounds struggling and wet. And she's lethargic.
I've given her Capstar a dozen times before and no reaction, but it's too big a coincidence surely since it happened right after?
Assuming this is a side-effect...
I have a 16-year-old cat who's been pooping everywhere for months now. She's been to the vet and had a load of tests done, but $300+ and several treatments later there's been no improvement. It's really quite horrifically awful and I don't know what to do anymore. She's clearly got cramps/pain...
He's been self-learning things for a while, and has built us table and a bench, a bed-frame, and some shelves. (Ohhh that reminds me, he almost finished building a booth like in a restaurant for one place we lived, then we had to move to a new place it wouldn't fit and we had to leave it behind...
I sometimes seriously consider just abandoning all normal life and responsibility and becoming a vigilante who murders people who abuse animals. I'd make the antifreezers drink it themselves and watch them die and not feel bad at all!
/end crazy
A catio, you stupid idiot!! (Talking to...
Well, Lady Fluffington has been returned to me. (Thread about it here, but it's not a necessary read, long story short didn't even give it a full two weeks! Siiiigh.)
Anyway I'm having troubles with her. She constantly wants to go out, constantly, all the time always.
She paces and meows...
I know! The first thing my husband said when I read her the email she sent, not quite a week in, was: "Oh no, the product isn't performing as expected and she wants to return it!"
It was so disappointing because she seemed more cat-savvy. D:
It only took me a week or two to win over stray...
I recently adopted out Lady Fluffington (a stray I took in last year who's got a thread here somewhere, maybe probably), and it's only been a week but the adopter is emailing me saying she has a problem.
Apparently Fluff is hiding "somewhere" and has only come out a couple times at around 10pm...
Okay I have a lot of replies to make and no time right now, but hopefully later...
In the meantime, Jcatbird (or anyone else with experience): HOW do you get so many cats to coexist peacefully!
My space is very limited but I've provided everyone with their own little hidey-spots, bed for...
Oh, something in writing is a good idea! I'll take any more of those you have.
And obviously take your time, I know you have your hands full.
Took this picture just for you:
Two street urchins (President Richard Milhous Nixon left, Lady Fluffington right) who complained when I first...
Over SEVENTY adoptions, you just blew my mind!
I know you've got your own concerns right now so I'll try to keep my reply short.
I completely get your point about being unable to divide our attention. My three house-cats are already getting far less attention than I want to give them now that...
Oh dear. I had a semi-feral inside who yowled until I brought another cat in. Is BJ calmed by other cats at all?
It's so awful we have to put them through this for their own good. He won't know until later and right now he just thinks you've betrayed him. Terrible. DX But you'll get...
@Jcatbird - Thanks for the reply (which I did see, heh). Poppy is so cute, I love her little necklace. ;)
How hard for you to give them up though! I've only had Nixon and Lady Fluffington in here since April, and I can't imagine giving them up already, even though I've tried not to get...
I'm late on the reply here, sorry! Busy and stuff.
Oh I have this exact same fear with Nixon! Every once in a while, if I'm in swatting distance, he'll take a swipe at me when I walk by. What's weird is that he doesn't do it to my boyfriend, only me. My fella says it's because he "Likes to...
Thanks for the posts and support everyone! I have an update, for all interested.
The wound was healing up nicely and I was going to come back here but then he showed up and it was torn right open again. D:
Since it had looked like it was really healing, fur starting to grow back on it and...
@Jcatbird
Thanks for the mention, and adorable post, adorable kitties!
It's weird because I've fed a lot of strays and ferals, and tamed a lot to be petted, but never actually brought them inside until recently. I've now noticed that these two sorta half-feral strays I've rescued play...
