Thank you all so much for you responses.  He transitioned fairly well over to wet.  I still put a few kibbles mixed in as it's easier for him to eat (his teeth are a bit jacked).  Havent' found any "presents' in quite a while so I think that did the trick.  I appreciate you all taking the time!
