Hi guys,
Just an update on Chipsie.
I've been giving her Restoralax and it seems to be working. I started her off at 1/8 tsp twice a day then worked up to 1/4 tsp twice a day. This occurred over a two week time frame and I still had to give two enemas.
Because she's been throwing up during...
My kitty is old and has arthritis and has started doing this as well.
Very frustrating! I put the cover back on her pan but she's still hanging her butt out the opening.
I have had to resort to a black garbage bag on the floor and a washable puppy pad on top.
There doesn't seem to be any...
My mom's dog was treated for Giardia unsuccessfully with conventional medicine. Her dog was so sick, losing weight and she was at her wits end. She researched natural remedies and started giving the dog Slippery Elm. He was feeling better soon after, his diarrhea cleared up and he was gaining...
Ok yes I've discussed that one with my vet and she didn't want to put her on it because of her kidneys. I will ask again to make sure but I'm pretty sure I had inquired about that one before. Thanks for the info.
I will ask about the miralax but something tells me that that was one if those drugs that my vet didn't want her on for some reason. I have to be careful because she is a kidney cat.

I've thought about possibly putting her back on cisapride, it's a fairly safe med for kidney cats. My vet just phoned me, they've been just exceptional with her, I love her vet dearly. She mentioned revisiting another herb that she's been on in the past. It's called Ma Zi Ren Wan. They're going...
I wanted to share my experiences with Chipsie and her chronic constipation. I'm hoping to help others with this issue and to possibly gain some new insights for myself.
Chipsie is turning 19 next month. She has struggled with constipation for years but it's only been in the last 4 that it's...
Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum but not to cats. I've had cats and other various animals for the 38 years I've been on the planet.
Currently I have Chipsie(avatar pic). She is a black, brown and white, short hair tabby. She will be turning 19 in May. I got Chipsie for my 19th birthday and...
