    Fleas Ravaging The Colony Cats

My sincere thanks to all that have responded. I recently ordered Brewers Yeast & Garlic tablets from Only Natural Pet. They recommend a dosage of 1 tablet a day for any cat under 10lb. to be mixed in with their food. I also have bought DE food grade, thus will try that as well. It is very...

    Black Vultures occupying the site

Over the past week 2 black vultures have been seen daily at my colony site in the woods. Last year there were 2 turkey vultures that hung around for close to a week. I am at a loss in what to do regarding these scavengers. I would assume that cutting back on the amount of dry food staged would...

Thanks to all who have replied. I spoke to a rep at Avon whom could not tell me whether Skin So Soft was safe to use around cats. She recommended I consult with a vet first. 90% of the ingredients used are not listed on the bottle, thus they are mailing me the list. Right now, I am not too...

Yellow Jackets & Wet Food, Avon Skin So Soft Bug Repellent

I would like to know if anyone has a solution for keeping yellow jackets at bay from wet food bowls. They are harassing one of my colony members in her attempts to consume the food. Is serving dry food the only option that I have at this time of year? Also, being eaten up by mosquitos, fleas...

I am seeking feedback from those whom have given DE food grade to their felines. I have read various responses as to the proper dosage and am somewhat confused. My colony feeds out of separate bowls vs. a communal one. Also, is dusting to be done in a minimalist fashion?  Your thoughts and...

Trapping a sick feral cat that was previously TNR'ed and leery of the trap

An update on Sammy, the one eyed neutered black male cat suffering from excessive drooling. Trapping a sick feral cat that was previously TNR'ed and leery of the trap

Thanks for your kind words of support Susank521. Sadly, feral/community cats are both devalued in life and devalued in death by society in general. I am glad that neither you, I or any member of the CatSite is a part of such a compassionless world.

Trapping a sick feral cat that was previously TNR'ed and leery of the trap

My sincere thanks to those who replied. Thus far several raccoons and one of the other colony members were trapped and released. Trapping post TNR cats is a daunting task, particularly when it is an individual member of the colony.
