Does your cat(s) sleep with you at night?

Sasuke and Kamikazee sleep on the headboard, and Purple sleeps in the windowsill, or sometimes at the foot of the bed. Mouse sleeps next to Joe's tummy. No one will sleep with me, though. I kick like a mule

    Dry Food on the Floor

KK actually likes to lay next to the bowl and pull the food out with his paw so he can eat laying down, and Purple likes to crush it in her mouth and then eat the little pieces off the floor. So we always have more food on the floor than in the bowl!

Two female cats, caring over ONE litter?!

When we were growing up, we actually gave one of our cats to a shelter so that she could be a surrogate mom for their kittens. She even nursed a puppy. (We had to give her up, and my mother actually worked at the shelter) But she did it until she died about two years ago.

    Suckling fingers

I have a kitten that I rescued from my husband's Aunt's house (over 50 cats, not one of them is neutered/spayed, they are all left outside to be eaten by coyotes, wolves and owls ), and we weren't sure of what age he was, just that he had a bite on his neck that needed to be taken care of...

    What is Your Metabolism Like?

I've actually been losing weight recently with diet and exercise, but the second I slip up on my eating the scale goes right back up. And I work out an hour and a half a day, five days a week. Yeah, I'm bitter. I'll never be able to eat more than 1500 calories for the rest of my life.

    Calling kitty...

Sasuke will come to anything- the other cat's names, kitty kitty, clicking sounds. Kamikazee and Purple will look at me when I call them by their names, but unless I have food they will come when they are good and ready.

Gave cat a bath...the other cat is being very aggressive! HELP!

I think you mean that you're afraid to go near her? Well, have you considered using cat wipes? Those are pretty tolerable. You may just have to let her quiet down and bathe her later.

    Licking ... yuck!

I read somewhere that licks are a great compliment because they want to leave their scent on you. They never see you groom- so you're bad at it and they're helping you. Also- if KK is being too hyper and noisy, I lick my palm and run it over the top of his head and he always calms down...

    Kittens living under my house!

We just moved to Texas about a month ago, into a 60 year old house that we're fixing up. It's an old pole and beam house- and it's like two feet off the ground. Well, there isn't anything around some areas of the bottom of the house, so animals and such can just come and go as they please. We...

    Welcome New Kitty Q's !

You need to get him fixed between 5-6 months old. He should have his first round of shots soon, and the vet will tell you how often to update. I prefer to keep my cats indoors because it is more dangerous for them outside- cars, mean people, other animals. Also, the small bird population is...

Cats talking to the birds, lizards, etc.

My kitty makes noises like that when you shine a laser pointer! Purple was the first cat I ever really heard noises like that from. But she kinda chirps when she sees a dot from a laser pointer or if she's just playing and very into it. It's cute.

    Trimming molly's toes

You can get it at Walgreens or a health food store. It's one of the Bach Flower Remedies. These are flower essenses that are used to balance both humans and animals. Rescue Remedy is a mixture of 5 different types of flowers that helps you calm down in traumatizing or stressful situations. The...

    Iams or Science Diet

I feed SD sensitive skin formula, because my cats both had dry skin for a while, but now it's better. My only problem is that now Purple is getting bigger- but I have a new kitten that likes to chase her and eat her food so I don't think that will be a problem for long . By the way- Is it normal...

    Cat food suggestions

I just started switching over to Science Diet Sensitive Skin Formula cause the kitties are both flaky and itchy. I already checked for fleas- and the vet said it was probably the diet cat food I was feeding them. Has anyone tried this kind? What did you think?

    drinking from the bathroom tap

LOL- This reminds me of a friend of mine whos cats figured out how to TURN ON the water faucets. They had to always remember to leave the drains open so that when they turned the water on it wouldn't flood the house. They actually did flood it once- she had to replace the carpet for half the...

I can't get the cat's interested in toys!

My kitties are scared of ANY balls, won't touch the stuffed animals (they look too much like balls ). The only things they will play with are strings or feathers. We have a shoe string with a strip of plastic bag on the end that they LOVE. I bought a big fuzzy tail with a wand at petco and...

    ring worm and kittens???

If you want to get rid of it on yourself VERY quickly (I'm a massage therapist, and have actually had ringworm on my thumb and had to take 2 WEEKS off of work ) use Monistat's external creme and it will get rid of it FAST. It should be gone in a month, TOPS. When my cat had it I had to give it a...
