    Yowling, vomiting, and hiding?

I've never been so happy to see cat poop before! He's got next to no mucus in his stool this morning and he ate a whole can of food on his own! I also put out a different bowl of water and he's obviously drinking it, so I think he's finally better!

    Yowling, vomiting, and hiding?

Awesome! I'll definitely try that. He still doesn't seem to be touching his water (I've been forcing bits of water into him once or twice a day) but he are nearly a whole can of food on his own tonight!

    Yowling, vomiting, and hiding?

Yeah, mine definitely wants nothing to do with chicken anything right now. Everything we force fed him over the weekend was chicken flavored, so I think it's giving him a negative taste. He's eating his lamb canned food and his beef or catnip flavored greenies, but I put a whole pot of cooked...

    Yowling, vomiting, and hiding?

He doesn't like it, that's for sure. =P Does anyone have any advice on how to tell if a cat is dehydrated? Now that his IV is done, that's my greatest concern. He's urinating regularly and eating wet food, but I haven't actually seen him go for his water bowl.

    Yowling, vomiting, and hiding?

I'm so relieved! If I hadn't taken him in when I did, he probably wouldn't have made it. I plan on finishing the antibiotics, don't worry about that. I will add probiotics to his diet and I'm planning on putting him on a pure wet food/raw food diet so I can regulate his diet. It hasn't been...

Zorro ate on his own this morning and jumped up into the window! I think he's finally getting better!! =]

    Yowling, vomiting, and hiding?

I'm really concerned that he hasn't been eating on his own. I know cats can get some sort of liver condition if they don't get enough calories. Should I be syringe-feeding him to the extent that he's getting all of his calories? I've just been trying to get ANY food in his system. I'm also...

    Yowling, vomiting, and hiding?

Zorro still isn't eating on his own. I got his favorite canned food (Nature's Instinct Rabbit flavor) and watered it down and have been force-feeding him with a syringe. He's got a bit of fight in him now and has had more in his stool than just the mucus. He's not throwing up at all anymore by...

    Yowling, vomiting, and hiding?

Zorro is a little more active now. He's moving around the house a bit more. He put up some fight with the last IV and still won't eat, but he's taking his pills. JodieThierry64, was your baby eating that same day or did it take her the next day to start eating again too? I'm debating...

    Yowling, vomiting, and hiding?

They did a blood panel and an ultrasound. His white blood count is really high but his organ functions are fine (thankfully!). They sent me home with a bag of saline to give him every twelve hours and they gave me antibiotics to try to get him to take as well. He has a ton of mucous in his...

    Yowling, vomiting, and hiding?

I took him in. I was far too concerned and have a credit card for emergencies. He has a fever of 105.3 (normal for cats is 102, she said). He's very dehydrated. Recommends hospitalization and/or IV fluids she the fever is this high. He's in good hands with them right now getting bloodwork and...

    Yowling, vomiting, and hiding?

Funds are really super tight right now. =[ I was hoping for better news. He's only throwing up white foam. There was a little food in the first batch, but the rest is only foam. His bowel movements seem normal still. I'll wait no more than a few hours just in case it starts to slow down or show...

    Yowling, vomiting, and hiding?

I just got home from my graveyard shift and my Zorro was hiding under the bed. Now, this is nothing new but when he came out, he started yowling at me like something was wrong. I've had him for about three years now and he's only made this sound while horrified about something (in his kennel...

Which dogs would be good with cats

One breed I. Can say with 100% confidence would be the Bouvier. They would never raise a threatening paw to a fly. I had a Bouvier puppy who was about five months old (probably the size of a small lab at that age) in one of my classes with a month-old pug puppy (who probably weighed less than a...

    Finicky Feline with Seafood Allergies?

As far as switching goes, I usually go a full ten days delicately bringing Zorro over. His stomach is so sensitive and Canyon Creek Ranch went out with no warning, it could be part of the reason he's not eating much dry food. I only had about two or three cups of it left when I went to buy more...

    Finicky Feline with Seafood Allergies?

My cat had the WORST reactions to Natural Balance than any other food so far! I do have access to Nature's Variety Instinct. I feed him the canned Venison, beef, rabbit, and lamb. I worked at a Petco for some time and when my store first got Instinct, I took some samples home (Zorro was on Royal...

    Finicky Feline with Seafood Allergies?

Hello everyone! First off, I'm a new member of this site, but not new at using it's advice. I thought I'd finally create an account here since I'm in a bit of a dilemma. My cat is allergic to seafood. Now, I know many of the experts (including most of you on this site) don't recommend diets high...
