I am not a cat expert but I wouldn't worry, I have seen cats jumping from the top of a tree and touching down without any problem. They seem to have a special sense to always touch down on their feet.

Thank you for your advice guys, it seems it took a couple of days for him to get use to it but now he loves to drink from the fountain. I am not an expert but I'd recommend everybody to get one of these things, because the water your cats will be drinking is filtered and aireated.

I think you shouldn't let him do anything like that to you and punish these kind of behaviour. Maybe you can try to give him a slap or spray him with water whenever he tried to bite you.
