Hmm, I may be the only naysayer here. I just got my third 7 weeks ago and it is still a sometimes-stressful situation. I had a peaceful 2-cat household before we brought in our newest, Gin. I have since read (The Natural Cat) that if you have a happy 2-cat household you may want to stay that...
DiMa, beautiful pic to remember your pixelPuff by, she was a photogenic sweetie.
kittylover4ever, nice work with the tongue pic. It looks as if Petals is speaking to you.
What hilarious pics! Love the one of Zoey where her tongue looks like a twisted ribbon - 2nd from bottom. Love to see whether kittylover4ever has any luck tonight!
Out of the whopping mound of cat pics I have, I think I only have 2 tongue pics - Scarlett and Sadie:
What a beautiful creature Thailee is. And I enjoy your daily Tiggers too! V much reminds me of my Sadie.
Dig up a few picks I did!
Gin, drinking from watering can:
Sleepy Sadies:
:bump:Head Games (had to get one in of Scarlett!):
!Que adorable! How cute all these kitties are. We are blessed with gorgeous kittens. Tonight I may try to dig up the photo of Gin drinking out of the watering can. She uses her paw as a utensil - for watering cans and any food container. I still have not found a single human food she does...
Dawnofsierra - Sadie and Scarlett don't know quite what to make of Gin. They are very cautious around her. She wants to play and scuffle with them, and they aren't interested. They give her a look that, to me, says 'What in the world is that cat thinking?!' Its a work in progress.
Feral...
Yes, Everybody's kitties are gorgeous!
OK, better late than never - I got home last night and I was done for!
Here are Scarlett & Sadie (good friends )
And our newest girl, Gin (she's still settling in. . . )
Right now Sadie is on my lap trying to inhibit my typing, Scar is meowing in...
Scarlett twirls around on the floor in front of me, and mews occasionally, looking up all the while. She's very shy about it. Sadie comes and sits on me. Gin runs up to me and either rubs against my legs or walks across my lap. All 3 of them are in the habit of following me from room to room...
There was apparently something about this on the CBS early show... Here is a link to the webpage:

Some poor dog was put to sleep because the shelter scanned him with the wrong scanner. It is so sad, the worst part being that the shelter...
We have named #3 Gin... She is totally adorable and seems to eat almost anything - maybe as a result of living on the streets? Tonight she was intently licking a banana. She also goes crazy for frozen yogurt and olives, I don't know what will be next. She's still eating all of her own food...
Because of the holiday I wasn't able to get Sadie to the vet as they are not open. I've kept the emergency clinic in the back of my mind, but we haven't needed it and Sadie is getting a little better. Much less frequent sneezes and coughs. Still some, but definitely better. I'm beginning to...
I guess vets get sick too - all appts yesterday canceled because the doctor is sick... Sadie is about the same, no better no worse. I would feel better if she was checked out, but it looks like we'll have to wait a little longer. Hoping the doctor gets better too!
Tomorrow will be our second trip to the vet. We took her over the weekend, and found out it was not that bad of a cold yet, maybe just a virus. She hasn't improved at all though, she may be a little worse.
Her symptoms are a hacking sneeze (a snough or a chortle), wheezing, nasal discharge...
I think posting an ad is a good idea, that way you may attract pet-friendly landolords to you. It seems like its best to be starightforward to avoid any problems. It may be hard to find a place, but when you do, at least you will have peace of mind. You may also want to find out if there are...
I think giving Ro a space of her own would be helpful. I am trying to introduce a new cat as well (http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35672).
Is Ro an adult or a kitten? Maybe she just needs time to let her new situation sink in. I am trying to create an environment for my new...
Southsiderpgh, it is also my husband who needs reassuring that the new cat is going to work out, just a funny aside.
What I found during my first new cat introduction a fews years ago, was that things can work out even when the cats seem to be arch-enemies. My 2 existing cats are generally the...
Sadie had never scratched at the collar or rubbed there, I think the collar itself just rubbed at the fur as she moved. The shredding was mostly because the collar was a hand-woven 'maya' collar that was prone to unravelling - especially if my other cat Scarlett's claws were helping it along...
