Injured Cat Desperately Needs Tail Surgery - Time is Critical

Hello there, @ShadowsRescue  ! I am keeping them inside because of the weather but when it's a little warmer I let them go play outside. They are very well behaved and don't spray outside of the litter box, so it's easy for me. They've been spending the night here for over a week now. And they...

Injured Cat Desperately Needs Tail Surgery - Time is Critical

Haha! You are probably right! The doctor probably said 2 days and not 2 weeks! I'll keep an eye on her. She's finding it hard to use the litter box and she found a way of licking her tail, even with the collar. So I applied Neosporin and cut  a clean sock  wrapping around her tail but leaving it...

Injured Cat Desperately Needs Tail Surgery - Time is Critical

Jezz is already home and apparently feeling better. She's very annoyed with the elizabethan collar though. She wants to get rid of it at all costs but the vet said we should keep it for 10-12 days so she won't lick or bite her tail. One thing I thought it was weird was that the vet didn't...

Injured Cat Desperately Needs Tail Surgery - Time is Critical

The boys aren't neutered. They are feral cats that live in our backyard and I feed them. I'll look for low cost neutering in my area. At the clinic the girl was spayed it costs 110 dollars, but I hope I can find cheaper.

Injured Cat Desperately Needs Tail Surgery - Time is Critical

Hello to you all! Just to keep you guys posted: Jezabel was taken to the vet today and her surgery will be performed. The vet also suggested to spay her. He said her case wasn't too bad because it wasn't close to her spine. He said he's seen worse and she'll be just fine. I was relieved to...

Injured Cat Desperately Needs Tail Surgery - Time is Critical

Thank you dear! I hope God helps me help this little angel. She let me clean her tail with soap and water and then I applied an antiseptic and antibiotic ointment on the injury. She was purring and seemed a little better.  Hopefully tomorrow she'll be treated. :)

Injured Cat Desperately Needs Tail Surgery - Time is Critical

My name is Ana and I care deeply about cats, especially those who have been abandoned. I am trying to find help for an outdoor kitty that lives on my landlord's backyard and was found with her tail severed, and badly infected, her tail is hanging. She isn't my cat and my husband and I give her...
