I have a 7 month old long haired Maine Coon. For some crazy reason he does not groom his tail. I don't know why, he just doesn't. He grooms the rest of his body, just not his tail. Which makes one nasty tail. It's greasy in some places and matted in others. Therefore, I have to wash it for him...
